“It’s a nice lodge in a beautiful location by the lake. The service was good, including an accommodating late check in process.
Most of the cabins have a back porch facing the lake with some lunge seats so one can sit and admire nature, covered from the sun (or the wind if in the evening) by the canopy and the birch trees. There was also some wildlife, including multiple rabbits after dark and even a mouse running past me while sitting on the porch late in the evening (there were no signs of mice inside the cabins).
While the rooms were overall clean, there were a couple of very small stains on one blanket.
Amenities-wise, the cabins included a coffee maker (but rather lamentably there was no kettle or tea bags to make some tea), a fridge and a microwave, so that was nice.
Additionally, the restaurant is not open on all days, and even when it’s open it’s only for dinner, so you do have to drive to Pinedale for breakfast and on some days dinner, however Pinedale is less than a 10 minute drive away and the man on the front desk was able to give a good recommendation for a breakfast spot in town.”

“Gem of a place! Rooms are just the right size for us, not too big but adequate space. Cute bathroom with shower. Comfy bed and enough electrical outlets and phone charge stations. Nice breakfast and comfy feeling. Best value I’ve seen in years.”

“I'd been having a rough go of it when I arrived at Half Moon Lake Lodge. I'd just totaled a rental car, lost a family member (unrelated), and spent several days running from wildfire smoke. HMLL was a godsend. The owner and staff were wonderful, the food was great, the cabin was cozy, and the lake was gorgeous. Most memorably, they helped me and my son get to the Jackson airport after our stay, which would have otherwise been extremely challenging sans car (this is not Uber country, folks). Half Moon Lake Lodge, I cannot thank you enough!!”
“Its good here. The rooms are clean. Its close to everywhere I want to go. The staff have been very nice. Breakfast was good. I have had no issues with parking. The internet has been fast and reliable. I have no reason to complain.”
