Place was packed, but the line moves fast.This place is probably packed no matter when you go here, specially, during meal times.The service was really good. I’m sure they’re terribly busy all day long but you wouldn’t know it by how you’re treated.Good basic food like burgers and fries.Amazingly good service considering it’s the only show in town.Plenty of souvenir shopping here as well. If you’re going to pick up stuff to take home like T-shirts or sweatshirts or memorabilia this is the place.Parking: Huge lot for this complex but it’s Yellowstone! You might have to drive around a little bit to find an open spot.

Grabbed some food at the end of a long day exploring Yellowstone. Already read some reviews before our holiday and was very sceptic about this place. All negative reviews are confirmed, the food they serve can't hardly called food at all. Terrible experience, next time I will eat a self made sandwich in my room.

We are one breakfast here while staying in Moran Lodge (on-site). We ate early (around 7 am) and we’re surprised at the long line. Even more surprising was the cold food. They seemed to have cooked everything “in the back” and then brought it out in huge dishes to serve cafeteria style with no way to keep the food warm. The servers clearly were tired, or didn’t like serving. It was an uninspiring meal. The next day we drove to Old Faithful Inn for a better breakfast.

Canyon Eatery exceeded our expectations. Note, we visited in mid-September, but we found the service was quick, food was tasty (for quick serve), and the staff friendly. They had limited gluten free options, but we made it work. Our first night, we took our dinner “to go” and ate by Artist Point!

Customers wait in a long line for a limited selection of overcooked overpriced food. We had dried out salmon and dried out chicken. The bar area was somewhat better.

I had the displeasure of eating at the Fresh Wok in the Canyon Eatery. It made me sad that this is even offered in the world’s first national park. My meal consisted of soap flavored noodles, a macerated chicken goop, covered in a cough syrup sauce. I don’t even think criminals in prison are served food this bad. Do not go here at all costs.

The eatery itself is ok. There was construction which people had to be reroute ourselves. It was a little disturbing when a gentleman asked were was the restrooms and staff member said he didn't know!!! Not much direction but eventually we got there. This is a cafeteria. I really gave it more stars than the cafeteria needed but the building structure and outside grounds are lovely.

Sadly have to agree with all the reviews. I didn’t expect or need good food, I just needed full bellies so we could continue to enjoy the park. 1st night we managed to get food. Like I said quality was not a huge concern for me. 2nd night- they were down to 1 food line, over an hour wait and it looked like they were running out of food. We walked away and ate ice chest food. We were lucky and had an ice chest that had enough to satisfy 2 adults and 2 young children. I imagine others had a very tough evening/night. Moral of the story- rely on yourself and don’t expect your needs outside of lodging to be met by this location. Don’t let this one poor excuse for food concession wreck an otherwise fabulous place to be and stay.

The building is nice, the food is absolutely abysmal. Total garbage.I wouldn’t eat here again even if it was free. We tried both the Wok and the “fast” food, none of us could finish the plate.Save your time, money and digestive system and find literally anywhere else.

We had food from the wok grill. When we got through the line to order food the chicken and beef were out with a long delay. This caused a huge backup. The servers didn’t know what to do which made this more hectic. Finally sat down to eat and all the food tasted burnt. We think the cook was burning the food and deglazing which just spread the gross burnt flavor over all the food. We are not super picky eaters so we got down what we could but it was gross. I think, like most US national parks, this is just par for the course. Hope you have a a good cook and servers for the night. Go in knowing it will not be good or cheap for what you typically pay for this fair.

Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the reviews. The first night we ate Asian which was inedible. Plain noodles with tasteless sweet chicken or overly spicy beef. The bar looked better with friendly service. I liked the atmosphere as we were almost in off peak season. The next morning we avoided breakfast. We are the American dinner which was better with rotisserie chicken and hot dog. Not much choice with anything else. On our last day we had breakfast which was quite good with the usual scrambled eggs and variety of sides. It’s quite expensive for the quality of food.

We were shocked at how horrible the food and the options were. There are so many people at Canyon Village what with all the lodges you would think there would be more options than standing in long lines for HORRIBLE food. We have been to Yellowstone many times and had great experiences at other lodges. This is a definite never again for us for Canyon Village. We would not recommend.

This eatery at the Canyon Lodge was the only choice while staying in the Canyon Village at Yellowstone. 2 options - "comfort food" and "asian". I felt like I was at a High School Cafeteria - except cafeteria food was bettr! This was awful and my wife and I were unable to eat it. Only good news is the bar adjoining.

I guess when you're the only show in town, management doesn't care too much about taking excellent care of their customers. We ate breakfast and dinner here while we were in the Canyon area. The servers were less than enthusiastic about serving and for the price, they were stingy at best about serving sizes. I felt like a trip to the dentist would have been easier. Quality and taste was less than McDonald's. If we ever have the chance to go back, we'll figure out a way to take our own meals.

The place had no atmosphere at all. It was more like a mess hall at a university. We got food from the "slow food fast" counter, but that food is not that good. The price is high for what you get. There was also a "woks" counter, but we didn't choose it because there were lots of people in the queue. Later we discovered why that was: the food from there looked a lot better.
