We booked the half hour Hot Date (hands on assisted learning workshop) and it was so much fun! Damian walked us carefully through the process (and let's be honest, he did most of the hard work too!) and our items turned out beautifully.
Unfortunately, the tail of the duck broke during the cooling process, but the staff glued it back together and even offered to let us remake it. My husband declined as he didn't want to trouble them, but they ended up giving us another duck in the shop so we wouldn't have any regrets. They wrapped everything in bubble wrap for us so we can safely pack them in our suitcases to take home.
The staff are so sweet and kind and we had a great time. If we are ever back in Whitehorse, we'd be sure to visit again!

My boyfriend and I have been here for a 2hour "Hot Date". It was an amazing experince. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had never done glassblowing before and they took me by the hand and explained everything step by step. We loved it so much and had so much fun. We will definately come back!

I love to wander through Lumel and see what I can see. I bought lots of presents during the month I was visiting from Scotland. Lumel staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. And patient. Very patient as I flitted about gathering glass treasures for family and friends.

I can't speak highly enough of this fantastic studio. I took my children here to experience glass blowing for the first time, where the friendly and patient staff offered a brilliant hands-on workshop for them. Our stop in Whitehorse was part of a cross-Canada road trip (we drove here from Ottawa), and watching the joy that my children were having in this studio was a highlight of our trip.

We heard about the glass shop in the city and we found it along the river front. We were a bit disappointed when we were told they were out of glass, but we hung around and did see a display of glass blowing. Signage could have better.
