There are a few issues here. First, I can hardly speak with anyone at this branch because they do not answer their phone! Second, if you want to work with a home loan specialist, I would highly advise NOT working with John Johnsey. I submitted a mortgage application online, and a hard inquiry immediately hit my credit report. John required more information, and I submitted it all to him within 24 hours. A few weeks passed, and I heard nothing further from him. When I followed up, he stated he had overlooked or never sent the follow-up email needed. By this point, my allotted time of 30 or 45 days to shop for mortgage originators was nearing expiration, and having another bank pull my credit would only further hurt my credit. I asked John on 2 separate occasions spanning a few weeks following this incident to reverse the hard inquiry from his end, and he assured me both times that he would take care of it. Almost 6 months later now, it is still not removed!

We've banked with Synovus for over 20 years. We use this location for our safety deposit box, which we're in and out of pretty often. The tellers are always super friendly and patient with us. The overall relationship with Synovus has been consistently great.

I have never felt the desire to leave a review on a bank employee in my life – until today. I recently needed to open a IOLTA for my law firm’s new Alabama office. I went to the Shades Creek Parkway Branch here in Birmingham, Alabama, and everybody was so nice to me and quick to help. I ultimately was paired with Sharon Hoof. She worked with me on getting everything setup; however, I was in a hurry and needed to finish everything over email at a later time. She worked with me back and forth until I had everything finished. I feel like she gave me more attention and assistance than anybody else would have in her position. I was close to missing a setup deadline but she was readily available and able to work quickly so that the process was completed timely and successfully. Fast forward to my first deposit in the new IOLTA account. I drove through the Homewood (Southbridge) Branch to make the deposit, but I wasn’t really prepared. I didn’t know the account name or number off the top of my head. I was hoping whoever was working the counter could help me. Lo and behold, Sharon is covering this desk for the day. She recognized me immediately and knew exactly what I was doing there and how to help me. I basically didn’t even have to speak and she greeted me by name, confirmed my visit’s purpose, and accomplished what I needed in about 1-2 minutes total. I’ve never felt like more of a VIP customer in my life, anywhere! Thank you Sharon! Sharon for President!
