“I want to give a big shoutout to James, the customer service manager at the Family Dollar in Chickasaw, Alabama. His attitude was amazing—super friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to come across someone who goes above and beyond to make customers feel welcome, but James did just that. The store itself was also very clean, well-organized, and stocked, which made my shopping experience even better. Great management makes a big difference, and James is definitely doing things right. Keep up the great work!”
“Omg, this place has so much stuff that is so cute for decor, a lot of art supplies, school supplies. Has a pet care section. Beauty Supplies: makeup from Maybelline, E.LF. NYX, Essie Nail polish, nail kits by KISS. Has a skin care section with a lot of tried and true products like Neutrogena, Noxema, Clean & Clear, face masks. Has scented candles, some shelf stable food & drinks. Has throw pillows, blankets, dishes, cups. Has cleaning supplies from big brands from Unilever & Proctor & Gamble. Tide, Clorox, Lysol, Swiffer, etc. a good place to shop to avoid the headache that big box stores give me. Not crowded, very neat & clean, decent parking. Only gave four stars because I was looking for oven cleaner and it was not carried here. Great store, but the location is aggravating because of all the bottle neck traffic and one of the longest stoplights on Airport Boulevard.”
“Located in the northern regions of Saraland, this Big Lots is pretty nice. It was quiet when I went, likely because they just opened, but it was peaceful nonetheless. Definitely a better experience than in Mobile.”

“Today I ran in to buy batteries and there was a creepy man behind me when I was checking out at the register. He said inappropriate things and tried to engage in conversation and I got out real quick.I then went next door to the veggie market and when I came out the manager of this Dollar General came out. She said, “I don’t want to get into your business but my clerk said that this man was harassing you at the counter. He is in this red car behind me right now. I’m getting ready to get his license plate number but I wanted you to be aware that this man is in this car and if he follows you….” I said, “I will drive straight to the police station!”Thank you, Dollar General employees for looking out for us. I wish I had looked at your name tag, but I wanted to get outta there fast. Please know I will always feel safer because you watched out for me today.”
“The store always surprises me with more great stuff! You can't beat getting a lot of things for just a dollar that you would spend sometimes five times that at least anywhere else. There are a lot of cool things here too to design your living spaces with. Note to anyone interested in great Dollar Tree crafty projects you can find videos of great ideas on YouTube. Just look up crafty Dollar Tree projects! The workers here are always very courteous and helpful as well!!!”

“This Dollar General store is wonderful. They have good low prices for most items. They have nearly all the things you want to take home. After Christmas the Christmas items were all 50% off. I liked the cheese, beverages, snacks. Chocolates. Cookies. They have good items for cleaning at home. They also have beauty items and I like their hair spray. Staff is nice and can help you find whist you want and check you out”

“On New Year’s Eve, I needed to pick up a prescription and milk, but I didn't feel like walking to the back of the big store. So, after I drove up for the prescription, I drove to Dollar General on Cottage Hill in the shopping center at University / Demetropolis, where they have the Milk only 30 feet inside the front door!
So, around 7 O’Clock, I stepped inside. I had to look around to ensure I was in the right place; this Dollar General was different from others I saw over the last week in three states. It didn’t look like it did 7-8 months prior. Everything about this store was different; if I had to guess, I’d have said it was a model store, and Wow!
The aisles were wide and uncluttered. The store was clean, and products on the shelves faced neatly to the front. I couldn't reach the milk I wanted, so I went to look around the store, thinking I could find something to help me get it. I saw three tall cage carts lined neatly out of the way in the center of the store! Never in my life have I seen such precision and purpose in the organization in stocking and considering the customer while doing so in a Dollar General. I had to look further. The top stock was all excess products that didn't fit on the shelf. The clearance was neat, and new Valentine's Day products were out already. I walked the perimeter and glanced down the aisles, but I didn't see anything on the floor or out of place: no huge pallets of products or cases of soft drinks blocking the front door either.
I know they didn't want me climbing onto the cooler door frame to reach for it, but I found nothing useful to help me, so I went 30’ from the refrigerated Milk section to the front checkout to wait my turn to ask for help getting lactose-free milk off the top shelf. The cashier and manager were both so friendly, so why didn't I ask sooner? They were happy I didn't try to get the milk alone; they told me one lady tried recently, and the milk fell to the floor and burst. (I dodged that; Thank goodness!)
I knew I would write a review on this one-of-a-kind Dollar General, so I sat in my car after leaving the store while I talked on the phone. I wanted to see if the store was so clean and organized because of slow traffic or if it was that good. On average, on New Year's Eve, I saw steady customers going in and out of the store, 6-8 cars at a time, and 2-3 people in each vehicle for an hour. It is that good.
Check it out for yourself: the most refreshing trip to Dollar General you may have this year.”

“Believe it or not, this is my first time going in Rose's! Fred's was here the last time I was in this store! Very impressed at all the inventory and how well stocked and clean it was! It's hard to judge from their website as to what types of grocery items they actually carry. I was under the impression it was basically chips, snacks and drinks but they actually have a few grocery aisles, some frozen and cold items up past the registers at the front, no milk but bacon, eggs, sandwich meats, sausage dogs, etc... frozen pizzas, etc...(didn't pay too close attention to that. Sorry!) Bleach was the main shocker for me! $1.25/gallon, I believe it was a gallon. I'll definitely be back! Very large store! Clothes, shoes, electronics, car care, cleaning supplies, rugs, small furniture like book shelves and such you put together yourself, bathroom section with rugs, shower curtains, towels, mats, accessories, lamps, pretty much, you name it, they probably carry at least a small selection of it!! (I know I added 50 pics to this! They should be here but I'm not seeing them!)”
