“Never noticed the place before, but while I was getting lunch at the subway next door, I noticed this liquor store and went there. Was looking for buffalo trace, which is hard to find. While they were out that time but I had left my number to inform if they happen to get the stock (expected nothing, though). To my surprise, they actually messaged me, and I finally got a BT to enjoy this weekend. Kudos for taking care of customers.”
“Absolutely THE premier place to get your wine in Birmingham and surrounding areas! I have never had an experience like this while searching for wine. The attention I received was impressive as well as their knowledge of the products. I enter unsure of what I needed, I had an idea. With just a few questions they had exactly what I needed. “For those that don't know, Alabama is a controlled state, meaning that all spirits have to be purchased from the state. In AL, they have to pay RETAIL price. The price you see on an item at an ABC store is what the business pays. IF they buy a case, they get a 14% case discount. Which ain't crap, because Bama is the 5th highest taxed state on booze. It's standard practice for an individual package store to mark their spirits up by around 40- 50%, because otherwise they wouldn't be able to exist as a business. The guys at Altadena Spirits are kind, fair, and helpful. Their selection is good, and you can even find some bourbon gems there sometimes. They have a great chilled wine and beer selection. It's quiet and chill, and I always find something tasty to drink.”
“This store is a bit larger (and cleaner, more modern) than other ABC stores and I was able to find Cachaça 51 and Licor Cuarenta y tres in this well organized store. The store clerk knew the store inventory by heart, was helpful, and laughed at one of my jokes.Alcohol is in Alabama more expensive than in most other states. The government-run liquor stores (ABC Select Spirits) offer the cheapest, legal liquor in Alabama. The existence of ABC stores and the high tax rates on alcoholare evidence that the temperance movement is still alive and kicking in Alabama, although tamed by the interest in tax collection. “In Alabama, the State run ABC stores are about the only option for buying bottles of hard liquor. They are, however, clean, helpful, well stocked, safe and friendly. They gave me a free sample today.”

“R&R is the best place to get liquor from or just to grab a six pack. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you make advanced selections and always have a cool new suggestion. They also have a respectable vape selection, including JUUL pods. It's hands down the best liquor store in the area!”

“I am only giving this store a 4-star rating because they have a huge variety of items, juices, cups etc...basically everything you need. It's very cluttered in the store. The prices are sky rocketed. I paid 29.99 for the small bottle of Bumbu Rum. THE SMALL!!! Nothing else was open at the time I went. And I really wanted it. If I score this place on appearance and price alone, they'd get 2 stars. I try to be fair. I won't be back.”
“This is my first time at this location. Was very easy to find right off hwy 65. The truck entrance has a sign in front and a phn number on the entrance gate to call for check-in. Opens at 7am, and I arrived 30min. before my appointment and received a door right away. Good space to turn around to back into docks. There is a port a potty on site. The paperwork goes into the back of the trailer. Goes from green, red to green light, and your complete. Paperwork will be in the back of the trailer. Exit the same way you come in. Unloading was very quick. I would definitely come back.”
“I love this location. I've never had a bad experience. I look really young so sometimes people can be somewhat rude when asking for my i.d. I've never run into that at this store. They're always super nice to me and I don't like going elsewhere! Awesome addition to the shopping center.”

“In my opinion, Costco is far superior to Sam's club. Their stock is great and so is their food for great prices! $1.50 for a hotdog combo meal is my usual go-to. Great quality and taste! The service is great no matter if you choose self checkout or at the counter. They also have good selections on the side for self service toppings such as onions, relish, mustard, and ketchup. They have a whole area dedicated to eating so you can eat your food there and not just have to take it to-go. The space is also large enough that you can have your full carts next to you as you eat before you go home! I think during COVID, you had to take your food to go as a precaution but I don't remember.”

I instantly walked out and came back here. We both laughed cause I came back but he was honest and friendly. If your in Hoover come shop here best prices in the city.”

“Smaller neighborhood store with a good but limited selection. The staff is very nice and will help you find whatever you need, or will get it for you if you are willing to wait for it to come in in a day or two. Recently amidst a remodel so it's hours have been a little wonky but it looks very contemporary on the inside, and is kept quite clean.”
