I love my pets with all my heart. We have been clients of some of the fanciest-looking clinics in Denver, Houston, and Detroit simply due to location. At Alabaster Animal Clinic we have received the same, and often better, care, concern, support, effort, and education from Dr. Dan Kerins and Dr. Lisa Abbitt for our beloved cats and dogs. Thanks to their guidance and patience, our miniature Dachshund was able to live happily to the old age of 17 yrs 7 months. Weight management, healthy teeth and gums, and convenient appointments contributed to his well-being. No doubt that our new dog from the shelter will receive the same excellent care and understanding for his various breed traits.
You will enjoy their willingness to speak plainly about conditions, treatments, and expected outcomes. You will never be spoken to in a condescending manner; no matter how often you annoy them with lists and endless questions. As busy as Dr. Dan is, he sincerely looks at every item on my checklists during appointments while kindly discussing each concern. You will never feel that something more could have been done or that a concern was overlooked for your pet.
The pricing is fair and you won’t be paying for their overhead on a swanky building. It is a neat and tidy office, which always smells clean. Easy in. Easy out. Right on Hwy 31. Care Credit is accepted for financing. Very convenient hours beginning at 7am. If other major tests or specialists are necessary, then the BHM area has many options for those situations.
Consider changing your pet’s healthcare provider, just as you would change your own for the better. If you don’t, it may truly be your loss. ???⬛????”

“Dr. Stark is compassionate, thoughtful, and exceptional with anxious dogs (and owners). She never recommends unnecessary tests, takes a whole-pet approach, and truly listens. When my senior dog lost significant weight with normal test results, Dr. Stark identified stress-related GI issues and helped her fully recover. Her surgical referral for a chest mass and follow-up guidance were excellent. Thanks to her care, my dog will be a happy 15-year-old soon. “Holmes Feline Clinic is fantastic. Clean (and cute ?) office. Exams and owner counseling are thorough, addressing both dietary and medication needs. And they go over a printed bloodwork report with you, which is so nice. Dr. Holmes and staff have been so helpful with my elderly boys, both of which had chronic conditions requiring meds. ? And the boarding services are also really great!”

“My pups seem to think the best time to fall ill is on the weekend. And of course it’s major, so no putting it off until Monday. I’m so thankful, albeit poorer, for all the wonderful staff at VSB. As traumatic as these incidents are it’s comforting to know your baby is getting the absolute best care. To have 24 hour attentiveness given by such a knowledgeable and compassionate staff helps reassure yourself, that other than praying, you’re doing everything you can to provide your pet with a fighting chance to have a positive outcome. They call you with updates. They don’t get snarky when you call with questions. Truly a kind and caring facility for the pet and its human(s). Phoebe is home and recovering. I am grateful for VSB . Phoebe says the jury is still out.. All she knows is that as nice as they seemed, they kept her in a cage and stuck her with needles. We won’t even talk about shaving the legs! She’s embarrassed.”
