“Five stars is not enough! We hosted my daughter’s graduation party at The Alcove last night, and the event was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The facilities are top-notch, but what really blew us away was the incredible technology setup. The vibrant jumbo screens, stunning lighting, and hit-of-the-party photo booth kept our guests entertained all night long. If you want a seamless, high-tech, and beautiful venue for a special occasion in Birmingham, this is it. Thank you to the owners and team for making her milestone so unforgettable!”

I absolutely LOVE Avenue D Events. I've photographed several weddings here over the years, and it's such a unique venue right in the heart of downtown Birmingham. One of my favorite things about the space is how versatile it is. Whether you're planning a wedding, corporate event, or even renting the space for a photo session, it transforms beautifully for every occasion.
The courtyard with a view of Sloss Furnace is one of my favorite spots for portraits, the natural light throughout the venue is incredible, and the upstairs getting ready suites are perfect. I always love when everything can happen in one location. And we can't forget the bathrooms...they're just plain fun.
The best part, though, is Laura and Chuck. They are two of the kindest, most genuine people you'll meet and truly go above and beyond for every couple and client who walks through their doors. It's always a joy to work alongside them, and I can't recommend Avenue D enough.”

“The Clubhouse on Highland is one of those venues that feels uniquely Birmingham. It has so much character and creates such a cozy atmosphere for a wedding day.
I photographed a wedding here during an unforgettable summer thunderstorm, and even with the rain, the venue offered so many beautiful portrait opportunities. The upstairs nook has some of the most incredible natural light I've seen and made for stunning couple portraits. We also took advantage of the covered porch before the storm passed, and once the rain cleared, we were able to sneak outside for a few relaxed portraits before the reception.
Bob was wonderful to work with throughout the day, and it's easy to see why so many couples choose this venue. If you're looking for a space with charm, character, and beautiful light, The Clubhouse on Highland is a fantastic choice.”

“My organization hosted an event at the Harbert Center on 12/27/25 for approximately 250 people, and a good time was had by all. Ms. Wright and her team did an excellent job taking care of our guests. The food was great. The sound system support the band and wait staff was very attentive.”

I loved the tall ceilings and grand windows! The patio area was great for pictures and intimate conversations. The Farrell is THE perfect wedding venue, especially if you are going for an intimate setting. Also, customer service was amazing. If I had any questions, she followed up immediately.”

“I was looking for an indoor location for a photo shoot. I remembered a conversation about their rentals and jumped on. The inquiry and rental process was smooth, the owner was very friendly and communicative! Even when we got there, he was very attentive and made sure that we were ok! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that every photographer rent this space!”
“On yesterday I was the Day of Coordinator for a wedding at this venue. From beginning to end Bo, was hands on with me, very helpful, and so accommodating. From the wedding rehearsal to the ceremony this was a pleasurable experience. On the wedding day I met Emily and she was truly a breath of refreshing air! She was very accommodating and did amazing teamwork with the staff. Weddings can be stressful, and the unexpected always seems to come up. When you have a supportive venue staff it can truly make or break the day. Bo and Emily MADE my day. So thankful for you guys and I will refer you 10 times over!

While the food was incredibly delicious and exactly what we were looking for, what made it even better was how easy it was to plan and coordinate on such a short notice! “The nice lady that takes care of this gallery helped me out with getting pictures for my art project by using her own phone because mine had shut down and I didn't have a charger. That was very sweet and helpful of her. The art displayed here is also very nice, although I don't know if it's pricey or not because I don't know what they normally sell for. That was the first time that I went to an art gallery and it was a very nice experience to say the least. Do check them out if you're in the area.”
“My family and I had SUCH a great night at Bowlero! We haven't bowled in a long time and forgot how much fun it is. Everyone had a blast. The facility was clean and orderly. The lighting and the music were ideal. We all had so much fun and I'm excited to go back in the future. I'd like to mention that Lane S. went above and beyond in helping me schedule my event and at the bowling alley, Carla did such a superb job making sure my family and I had everything we needed to enjoy our time. I didn't get his name but the man attending the bar was excellent as well. All around great customer service and exceptional experience. I highly recommend this bowling alley and I hope to go back again.”
“Oris & Oak was wonderful to work with as an event planner and coordinator! Their reception space was incredibly versatile and ended up saving the day when a flash flood forced us into our rain plan.
Elizabeth (the venue coordinator) was so helpful throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. They even allowed us to begin setup before the rehearsal the day before, which made everything run so much smoother. Highly recommend this venue and team!”

The food was incredible— best wedding food ever, in our opinion. The room was also flipped for dancing, and that went seamlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening!”

This space is central to downtown Birmingham and within blocks to the Civil Rights Museum , Kelly Ingram Park and 16th Street Baptist Church. Numerous eateries , Barbershops and Health & Wellness spas and stores. Modern decor. Management is top tier I would recommend this space and the team here.”

“I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens a few years ago, and it's such a charming venue. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful, and the reception area creates such a fun atmosphere for celebrating with family and friends.
Beyond weddings, the property is also one of my favorite hidden gems for portrait sessions. The gardens provide a beautiful backdrop throughout the year and photograph so well in every season.
Whether you're planning a wedding or simply looking for a scenic location for family photos, the Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens is definitely worth considering.”

“I had my shower yesterday at this beautiful venue and omg! Although the venue was beautiful and well accommodating for my guests, what really won me over was the over and beyond hospitality from the staff! Ms. Theresa and Judy were some of the sweetest women I have ever met. When I was faced with an obstacle, they jumped right into action to make sure I had what I needed. They even helped to set up for my shower when my help was running behind. I can’t thank them enough for being there for me and my family the way that they were. It literally felt like I made new family! Can’t wait to use their facility again!”
