“The USPS has provided reliable delivery service and continues to be an important part of getting mail and packages where they need to go. My experiences with both deliveries and in-office visits have generally been positive.

The delivery staff I’ve interacted with have been friendly, professional, and consistent, which I truly appreciate. It makes a difference to have someone dependable handling mail and packages.”

“Great customer service every time I visit. I usually don’t sit in line for more than 5 minutes. It has a small lobby.
Glad this location exists because it sure beats traveling into Madison traffic”

“As a local realtor, I stopped by the post office to send some fun Fourth of July goodies to a client. The woman who helped me was so kind and walked me through the best shipping options. Great service and always a helpful resource for staying connected with my clients!”

The oldest Continuous operational post office in AL!! It is 2nd in the whole U.S. Bananas!! I have a thing for post offices especially since I have been writing since 2010!

They do not deliver mail here! You have to pick up your mail! You have to walk or drive! I am losing it at every bit of information the lady in the post office gave me.(Sorry I didn’t get her name). I was like I need to move here. To be able to walk to get my mail everyday! I am in LOVE!

They seem to only be open from 8am-10am. So what we noticed is people getting their mail in bulk. Just an observation. We didn’t ask people’s schedule.

We got there with really only 20 minutes to spare. I think I could have hung out and talked for hours though!

Tavern/Inn is where the post office originally started before it was moved into this building.

I would love to go back and do a tour.

Currently at this time they do not have any post cards. I guess you could mail yourself a letter from there though.

There is a little parking lot at the end of High Street and North Street near Lyla’s. You will definitely want to park and walk around.”

“Polite and efficient service. The building is very dated and looks like the postal service really doesn't care much about maintenance. But the location is not typically crowded and seems to be full service.”

“Horrible!!!!! Package confusion , wrong deliveries, packages sent back that shouldn’t be….today the door is closed when they should be open at 10am it’s 11:15 still not open .. no sign .. nothing… several customers waiting and no response but we can hear them laughing , talking behind the doors. Unprofessional, rude , and ignorant on their part! At least communicate to customers if there are concerns !!!!! A customer went to the back and was told “ we don’t work the window on Saturday “ lies!!!!
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do want to edit this and say things have gotten MUCH better … the two main workers were never the problem it was being understaffed .. they are working to do better and there have been improvements !!!! They have hired more staff and things have been smoother!!! Workers are always pleasant and helpful!!!!”
