βI went in looking for specialty plates for a party. I was looking for a specific item that they didn't have, but they had SO many other choices. They also carry home decor and more. It's a clean, bright, open store. The employees are nice and helpful. It does have self checkout only, from what I saw.β

It's a clean place and friendly staff. Wish they would have a call list/ wait list for certain releases items

βThe staff was so courteous and very helpful for me to find what I was looking for. The cashier at checkout was so kind and friendly and told me exactly where to goes to find what I was looking for. When was ready to leave he was so friendly said a verse from the Bible to ease my mind and continue checking me out I invited him to my church ask him where he went we had a very nice conversation about the Lord and the Bible it was just very comforting to know that someone else believed in God, I was willing to share their experience and their belief with a total complete stranger.β
βStore Manager Karen has been there for years. She knows her customers and make everyone feel welcomed no matter what!
She works hard as her team does. The store is super super clean and well managed! My favorite store hands down. I feel like I am important when shopping there. Keep up the great work!β
βSome people just come in here to shop for small little thing but my mom and I shop in the alarm for monthly meals we make it work especially on a tight budget people that are tight budgets to shop here moreβ
βAlways prices marked correctly, always clean & the managers on 2nd shift are top notch should be replacing daytime managers one is a male with long hair & the other one is a female, I don't know either of their names & no I'm not kin or nor am I friends of theirs.β

I never go in with a plan. There is either nothing I'm interested in or I find a gem that was scary cheap and I use all the time.

βSearching Facebook today looking for luggage for a trip and I came across this store. I haven't been there yet but I am going today. Number one reason I'm headed there ...I loved reading this owner's response to every single review especially the negative ones ??? so awesome! I laughed so hard. So articulate, hilarious and to the point. He remembered almost every one of you and brought the receipts. I enjoyed reading all of them.β
βFirst time going to have a browse. There's so many teas, ramen, veggies, frozen goodies to try. I was so happy to see what goods they have. I'm never going to be able to pronounce many foreign goods, understand what the ingredients are. I'll forever be grateful for translations on my phone. I'll be back!β
βMy phone died on my way back to the hotel, and the cashier charged my I phone while I shopped . The phone had directions on how to get back to the hotel, without it I was lost !!β
βI enjoy walking here to get birthday presents or to just buy whatever catches my interest that is withing my budget. I love how it is all pretty cheap with the most expensive thing I could find being some $12 frozen pizzas. Love it.β

βThis is the Dollar General that I have always shopped at. They keep it clean and well stocked. People don't work here for long so there is always someone new. I am not sure why. Most of the time they are friendly but lately there have been a couple of people that are rude to the customers.β
βMy recent visit to the Dollar General X in downtown Huntsville was noteworthy, largely due to the helpfulness of two staff members, Richie and Ike. My friend and I came in with a somewhat unusual item β a large, asterial-shaped component for a special order toy blimp animatronic balloon, a birthday gift for a young person. Instead of the quizzical looks we anticipated, Richie and Ike were welcoming and seemed to understand our need. Ike wondered if we might dundundundundundun dunnana! While flying it around the dining room when serving up cake. Thanks for sharing the idea!
They not only had the means to inflate the balloon but also knew how to handle the specific valve on this type of Mylar aquatic designed for air travel. Their willingness to assist with our uncommon request was appreciated and made the process much smoother than expected.
This Dollar General X proved to be a convenient stop, and the assistance provided by Richie and Ike was definitely a positive aspect of the visit. Their helpfulness in a slightly unusual situation was a plus.
Thanks to you two gentlemen for being awesome and also to whoever was better bossing it that day they hired you both.
Can you believe dollar tree wanted 16 dollars and then refused to do it entirely once we arrived? Big win DGX & Ike/ Richie! Huge!β

Calandra was stocking shelves and helped me find things l was looking for and had great suggestions. I’m 77 and clueless what to get, besides gloves, hats, etc. She was patient, professional and very knowledgeable.β
βI didn’t know where New Market was before my nephew’s tournament. Stopped here on my way home, and this is the first DG I’ve been to in years that had more stock on the shelves than the aisles.β
βJust stopped in today because I was in the area. Very impressed on how organized and clean it was. The cashier was very pleasant. I have 3 dollar generals that are close to me and none of them are as niceβ

βWhile this DG continues to experience staffing issues that affect stocking and daily operations, the people who do work here are always friendly and helpful. During the recent winter storm, these fine people went out of their way to take care of people who showed up after they were told to close. This kind of service is important to those of us who live nearby and depend on them for immediate needs! Good on them!β
βVery helpful. Jen and Shane are the best. They know that store backwards and forwards. They can tell me if they have anything I ask for or when it's coming in. They're always kind always polite and true professionals. We need people like this in every Dollar General across America.β

βStore used to be unorganized and messy. After a lengthy boycott for that reason, we went there today to see that it was clean and organized. Not sure if it's new management but keep it up! We will be shopping there more often.β
βThere are several Family Dollar stores near me but I travel 8 miles to shop at the Family Dollar store on Pulaski pike. That store is always clean and neat. I can shop my list quickly and get other items I wasn't looking to purchase. The staff and managers are very friendly. I appreciate a very clean organized store. ? β€οΈβ
βI was at the Dollar General 2 days ago and I think I left a bag there but I can't get anybody to answer the phone to let me know if I did or not. I didn't get my receipt because the lady there was too busyβ
βI like the way they. Are making tuna fish now. In a can or a pouch with extra virgin olive oil with dried tomatoes. I was glad this Dollar general had the pouch as very good for eating on the run and enjoying this healthy light lunch that fills your appetite until dinner time. Nice convenient store...saves trip to Walmart.β

βThe employees are always extra friendly and the store is always clean at the Ryland Pike, Huntsville Al store. I always shop this location, even if I have to drive out of my way to cone to this particular one. 5 stars for sure :)β

βMrs Cooke the blonde lady with the black & pink jeep. is not professional & very rude. She didn't ring up my order correctly & I advised her nicely that the Scott toilet paper did not ring up correctly. the sale was buy 2 for $8. I advised her of her mistake. She told me she would have to void the entire order out instead of just fixing the prices. It was very rude and the customer behind me was inpatient. I told her to let the customer go ahead of me. But the customer wanted to argue with me & said oh come on lady. Mrs Cooke told me there was a line. mind you only 3 it 4 people. Even informed her that she could go ahead and take the other customers that I would wait. Mrs Cooke sided with the other customers remind you I let her continue to take the other customers. Then Miss Cook told me that I had would have to leave the store. I did not understand why she said I was the one being rude. Then she said if I didn't leave the store she was going to call the cops. I just want to buy the stuff that I was buying for my daughter's friend's birthday party and I need those items Can you please just fix it. Christian whether or not she had the authority to kick me out of the store. Oh honey I'm the assistant manager I could do what I want. She has very poor customer service skills instead of just asking me nicely if it was okay to take the other customers and have me wait. I even offered to her that I would wait for her to take the other customers. there's no need for her to kick me out of the store and call the police on me. Is the second time that she had made mistakes and rang up my items incorrectly and I had told the manager on her so for some reason she had some hatred towards me because I told on her. therefore she was wrong. I have copies of all my receipts and I even had another customer threaten me another time in the store and they did not ban that customer. not get rude I was not irate and I did not threaten anybody. feel like I was discriminated against and therefore I am filing a complaint which I did already.β
