“I love the management Ms Penny and Ms Connie. They always try to keep the place neat, stocked and clean. Plus excellent with customers. They have great cashiers that are polite and always welcome you, when walking in, and thank you and come back to see us.”

“These places are everywhere. They are not as big and unwieldy as Walmart. The prices are close to the big box stores and you don't have to cover acres to find things. We found just what we needed in less than 5 minutes. We waited less than 5 minutes at checkout. The cashier was pleasant and helpful. It was a good experience.”

“One of the best Family Dollar stores around. Very well maintained and stocked well. The cashiers are very kind. There's one that doesn't say anything to you, but at least she's not rude. I would go 4.5 stars, but since it wasn't an option, I went ahead and did five stars. Unfortunately many Family Dollar stores have gotten rough over the years. I like this one so much, I rarely go to Dollar General anymore bc this is my favorite dollar store. Keep up the great work!”
“Today I ran in to buy batteries and there was a creepy man behind me when I was checking out at the register. He said inappropriate things and tried to engage in conversation and I got out real quick.I then went next door to the veggie market and when I came out the manager of this Dollar General came out. She said, “I don’t want to get into your business but my clerk said that this man was harassing you at the counter. He is in this red car behind me right now. I’m getting ready to get his license plate number but I wanted you to be aware that this man is in this car and if he follows you….” I said, “I will drive straight to the police station!”Thank you, Dollar General employees for looking out for us. I wish I had looked at your name tag, but I wanted to get outta there fast. Please know I will always feel safer because you watched out for me today.”

“This is by far my favorite store! The managers and staff are great. The store is always clean. There are 2 DG closer to me that I avoid, because the stores look like bombs went off and the employees don’t care.”
“I swung by this Dollar store the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The aisles were a bit tight, but I was able to find most of what I needed without too much trouble. They had a decent variety of household items, snacks, and even some seasonal stuff. Prices are obviously great, and I picked up a few things I didn’t really need but couldn’t pass up. The staff seemed friendly enough, though I didn’t really interact with them much. Overall, it’s a convenient spot if you need to grab some basics without spending too much. I’d probably go back again if I’m in the area.”
“Good selection when you are in a rush and don't want to go to a larger store. They also have some good generic offerings with their Clover Valley brand. Prices for the name brand stuff is normal. No upcharge for the convenience. I am only knocking a star due to organization. It can be tricky to find something if you haven't been there plenty of times in the past.”

“I love dollar tree they have so much to choose from but I usually get decor from here Christmas decor fall decor ect. they have inside and outside decor for every season! They also have materials for crafts with Kids my kids and I made some adorable Christmas themed Pine cones. They have everything you need here all for $1”

“This Family Dollar I shopped at on October 3, 2023 was the only one in the entire Mobile area that had everything I needed after going to 3 other lame locations that didn't have anything and one had a rude employee that I had to remind that he was serving the customer and not the other way around. The Springhill location was a breath of fresh air compared to the others I went to. The stocking clerk was excellent and gave me the beef Jamaican patties I was looking for at the other locations right off of the stocking cart instead of giving me a smart remark like the clerk at the Stanton Rd location. The stock clerk at Springhill deserves a raise and any perk he wants. He's good. The cashier was friendly and okay too. Going through the line was kind of slow because we had people who didn't know how to use a debit card after debit cards have been out for over 30 years but, other than that, this is a good Family Dollar location. One of the best I've been to I'm decades.”

“This Dollar General store is wonderful. They have good low prices for most items. They have nearly all the things you want to take home. After Christmas the Christmas items were all 50% off. I liked the cheese, beverages, snacks. Chocolates. Cookies. They have good items for cleaning at home. They also have beauty items and I like their hair spray. Staff is nice and can help you find whist you want and check you out”
“On New Year’s Eve, I needed to pick up a prescription and milk, but I didn't feel like walking to the back of the big store. So, after I drove up for the prescription, I drove to Dollar General on Cottage Hill in the shopping center at University / Demetropolis, where they have the Milk only 30 feet inside the front door!
So, around 7 O’Clock, I stepped inside. I had to look around to ensure I was in the right place; this Dollar General was different from others I saw over the last week in three states. It didn’t look like it did 7-8 months prior. Everything about this store was different; if I had to guess, I’d have said it was a model store, and Wow!
The aisles were wide and uncluttered. The store was clean, and products on the shelves faced neatly to the front. I couldn't reach the milk I wanted, so I went to look around the store, thinking I could find something to help me get it. I saw three tall cage carts lined neatly out of the way in the center of the store! Never in my life have I seen such precision and purpose in the organization in stocking and considering the customer while doing so in a Dollar General. I had to look further. The top stock was all excess products that didn't fit on the shelf. The clearance was neat, and new Valentine's Day products were out already. I walked the perimeter and glanced down the aisles, but I didn't see anything on the floor or out of place: no huge pallets of products or cases of soft drinks blocking the front door either.
I know they didn't want me climbing onto the cooler door frame to reach for it, but I found nothing useful to help me, so I went 30’ from the refrigerated Milk section to the front checkout to wait my turn to ask for help getting lactose-free milk off the top shelf. The cashier and manager were both so friendly, so why didn't I ask sooner? They were happy I didn't try to get the milk alone; they told me one lady tried recently, and the milk fell to the floor and burst. (I dodged that; Thank goodness!)
I knew I would write a review on this one-of-a-kind Dollar General, so I sat in my car after leaving the store while I talked on the phone. I wanted to see if the store was so clean and organized because of slow traffic or if it was that good. On average, on New Year's Eve, I saw steady customers going in and out of the store, 6-8 cars at a time, and 2-3 people in each vehicle for an hour. It is that good.
