“I love going to this store because the deli food is excellent, especially the catfish. Everyone there makes you feel like family and often greets you by name. It's an excellent place for lunch.”

“Made my daughter’s 1st bday cake/smash cake. Her party was bow theme and I had asked if they could put little bows on it to match her theme and they did awesome on it! I’m a struggling single mom which sucks to admit, I was worried about finding a good cake and smash cake in my price range but the cake was $25 and included a free smash cake since it was her 1st birthday. I was very impressed with the cakes especially being how cheap and delicious they were. I will always recommend Publix cakes now, plus my daughter definitely approved of her smash cake?❤️”
“Publix Customer Experience – October 7, 2025, around 4 p.m.
As a mother, wife, and student, life can get hectic — so when I went grocery shopping at my local Publix on October 7th to prepare dinner for my family, I was already juggling a lot. After spending about an hour and a half shopping, I realized at checkout that I had left my wallet (with my debit card) at home.
I went to the customer service desk and spoke with a young lady named Maya, who was very polite. I explained that I lived about 20 minutes away and asked if I could leave my groceries at customer service until I returned. She agreed, and I headed home. Unfortunately, by the time I returned, it had started storming heavily. I didn’t have an umbrella, so I waited in my car until the rain lightened up.
When I went back into the store — around 4:45 to 4:50 p.m. — I told Maya I was back for my groceries. She informed me they had already been put away because I had said 20 minutes. While I understood, I was a bit shocked and disappointed, considering the storm delay was out of my control. The team lead, Chaz, walked up and casually said, “Oh, sorry,” which came across as dismissive. After spending so much time shopping, I left feeling unappreciated and undervalued as a customer.
I then requested to speak with a manager, and Michelle, the CS manager, came to assist. I explained the situation and expressed that I felt Chaz could have shown more empathy or initiative. Michelle handled the matter very professionally and immediately called for assistance to help me retrieve the items that had been restocked.
That’s when Saniya and Amariya stepped in — and they were absolutely exceptional. Within 10 minutes, they had gathered all my groceries and made sure I was taken care of. Their kindness, efficiency, and professionalism truly turned my frustrating experience around. Because of them, I was able to check out quickly, get home, cook dinner for my family, and still make it to class on time.
Huge Kudos to Saniya and Amariya — they are shining examples of what excellent customer service looks like. Their effort and attitude made me feel valued and appreciated. I sincerely hope Publix recognizes them for their outstanding service.
As for the overall experience, I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars — only because of the dismissive response from the team lead Chaz. I believe that with a bit more training in empathy and customer care, Publix can ensure every guest leaves feeling as valued as Saniya and Amariya made me feel. Thank you so much to those young ladies!!”
“I just went to the new Publix and I was quite impressed. The store was clean, organized and the employees were very friendly. It reminded me of the delchamps I used to go to before wal mart put them out of business. Some of their items are a little pricey but I think overall it would probably work out the same on my grocery bill. I will be shopping with them on a regular basis if for no other reason than to show wal mart that there is a new kid on the block.”
“This market was so clean and well organized! Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the prices were very reasonable! The ingredients were fresh and well stocked. Looking forward to coming back again and again! ❤️”
“Love this place. They have all the foods I can't get in Florida. I drive all the way to Mobile to get it because it's better than driving to Louisiana. We are waiting for Rouses to come to Florida!!!!”
“I absolutely love the meat selection. The meat coolers are always stacked so neatly and great prices! Shout out to Justin Green for being so happy to help everyone!”
“Hate going out of business favorite grocery store. Great prices and bogo... and app to clip coupons and get points definitely should keep them. I got 42 on one shopping trip and used it for extra things needed”
“Yesterday?
After I gave plasma I went to the Piggly Wiggly for a few items. I was wanting a snack - no cornbread available. After I paid I went to the dining area to enjoy the snack & this unkempt man in a loud voice ruined it. He was one the phone talking loudly in Arabic the whole time. I don't know if he is a customer or works there yet he doesn't belong in the store - the City or State as it's not Dearborn Michigan & woman in Bama are free to be in a store. No manners. Hoping he can learn some

“I am never disappointed at the quality and cost of every Aldi I visit. My favorite is the Aldi on Catherine St.& Government St. I drive from Grand Bay to that Aldi.”
“I would like to say that all of those women that were there today had exceptionally excellent customer service each and every one of them friendly very helpful. I can give you a standing ovation. Thanks a lot.”
“Great supermarket with a little bit of everything. Quality products and a great selection of cheeses and deli products- Always enjoy shopping here and spend way more than I plan when I go in- Love their selection”
“If u from the hood it's a 5 outta 5 hands down ...its family owned and has been here for 20+ years... But if you're some white person from the other side of town the only thing u need to know is lock ur car and don't speak to ANYONE outside lol”
“When Greer's says they got it, they really do mean it. What the Neighborhood Market was out of during the holiday last minute shopping, the Greer's had and less expensive options. Glad they're right down the street.”
“My visit to the B & H store was enjoyable...very good timing for shopping, small crowd in store, variety of items to choose, and the cashier was very friendly and helpful even one of the manage chipped in and helped bagged the groceries purchased”
“I had a focal onset seizure in the store this past Sunday. It's far from my first, so I'm pretty good at masking them. I struggled through some aisles before sitting on the Ace person's stool.
That Ace person came about, and I jumped up and apologized for sitting on his stool. He told me to stop and sit there as long as I wanted (I assume I didn't look well.) They offered to call emergency medical response; I declined.
So they had an employee walk with me the rest of my shopping trip, and then they had someone take my stuff to my car.
Find that at Wal-Mart.”
“I love this store, the employees are friendly, helpful professional and patient. I like the products and meats that they sale. They make you feel like you are a part of their culture, right at home. We appreciate you and what you have done and doing. Thank you.”

“This bakery market quickly became one of our favorite stops for fresh bread and desserts during the week. The smell alone when you walk inside tells you everything is baked fresh daily. We’ve tried several items so far including sourdough bread, muffins, cookies, and fruit pastries, and every product has been consistently excellent. Compared to packaged baked goods from regular grocery stores, the freshness and texture here are on another level completely. The staff is friendly, patient, and always willing to recommend new items to try. It’s the kind of local business that makes you want to support smaller shops more often.”
“I can never get help at the deli department. No one ever ask if I need help. Food looks good and smell good but they never ask if I need help even if I'm standing there”
“We drive from Ocean Springs MS to visit this small but well stocked grocery. It has all the ingredients we need to keep the spices, flours, and rices to make our indian dinners at home. ❤️ the fresh vegetables as some are so very hard to find.”

“There is only one Valero in the Mobile Alabama area, it's on St. Steven's Rd in Prichard. It's clean and the attendants are usually presentable and nice.”
“Nice store, FYI, if you are looking for over the counter medication, it is all behind the counter at customer service, an employee will get it for you. I was unaware of that until I went to check out. Good staff & security, needs more variety of diet soda and other low sugar/no sugar drinks.”
“Best experience I have had at this store. There is a new older woman who was working this evening that was so nice. All the cashier's here should aspire to be like her!”

“100% REAL PEOPLE. REAL FIGHTERS. REAL LOVING FOLKS! Spent time with my 1/2 Honduran son. Respect all day. Futbol was a second language. ¡Muchas Gracias Amigos! This store, a.k.a true reality, is EXACTLY WHAT THE USA NEEDS MORE OF! THANK YOU BROTHERS & SISTERS! ?????✌️❤️??⚽️”
“Best store when I come home from Jersey. First store I go to and get my conecuh sausages and ship them home. Only wish they shipped i would be there best customer here in Jersey.”
“Today I ran in to buy batteries and there was a creepy man behind me when I was checking out at the register. He said inappropriate things and tried to engage in conversation and I got out real quick.I then went next door to the veggie market and when I came out the manager of this Dollar General came out. She said, “I don’t want to get into your business but my clerk said that this man was harassing you at the counter. He is in this red car behind me right now. I’m getting ready to get his license plate number but I wanted you to be aware that this man is in this car and if he follows you….” I said, “I will drive straight to the police station!”Thank you, Dollar General employees for looking out for us. I wish I had looked at your name tag, but I wanted to get outta there fast. Please know I will always feel safer because you watched out for me today.”
“I swung by this Dollar store the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The aisles were a bit tight, but I was able to find most of what I needed without too much trouble. They had a decent variety of household items, snacks, and even some seasonal stuff. Prices are obviously great, and I picked up a few things I didn’t really need but couldn’t pass up. The staff seemed friendly enough, though I didn’t really interact with them much. Overall, it’s a convenient spot if you need to grab some basics without spending too much. I’d probably go back again if I’m in the area.”
“This is a good Dollar store. I like their bags of good snacks and also good candy and cookies. They also have nice decorations and items for Christmas, good cards, gift bags and gift wrap.”
“We visited this gourmet grocery store while searching for ingredients for a holiday dinner, and the selection completely impressed us. The store carried specialty cheeses, fresh baked bread, imported sauces, and high-quality meats that are difficult to find at standard supermarkets. Despite having premium products, the environment still felt approachable and easy to navigate. Compared to larger grocery chains where specialty items can feel scattered randomly throughout the store, everything here was organized thoughtfully. Employees were knowledgeable and willing to answer cooking questions without making customers feel rushed. Shopping there honestly made preparing meals feel more enjoyable and inspiring overall.”
