“I had a wonderful stay at SureStay Hotel! The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. There are plenty of great restaurants within a few miles, along with a Walmart Supercenter, Aldi, several pharmacies, and convenience stores, making everything you need easily accessible.
A special thank you to the manager, Huey, who truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed and comfortable. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel has a quiet yet lively atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax while still being close to everything. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!”

“Room was mid range, clean, but slightly worn. Functional breakfast: fresh mini pancake machine, toast, cereals, milk and cream, coffee, hot chocolate and juice machine.
Good place to stop and relax on your trip. Functional pool, and pet friendly, laminated wood floors. Working tv, fridge and microwave in the room.”

“The best part of our experience was the staff, especially Coach and his wife. We came in during a literal thunderstorm, graduation season, and a nationwide Hilton shutdown. My mother and I had planned to stay at Embassy Suites, but were told over the phone two hours out that the systems were down and they could not book and let out rooms. We arrived at Embassy Suites and again told the system shutdown was nationwide and they were instructed not to reserve rooms. We sat in the lobby and called hotels. After calling a few and receiving automated services, we called and spoke with someone at Towne Suites. We reserved our suite with ease. Upon arrival, the rain was pouring so hard people were driving with their hazard lights. My mother and I made it into the hotel. Coach asked if he could get our bags for us even though the hotel does not offer any valet or bellman services. He made three trips in the pouring rain for our luggage and went above and beyond every ask or expectation to assist us. His wife at the front desk was just as friendly. Even with people being short tempered, she remained consistent and joyful to serve. They refused every attempt to tip for their service and my mother's offer to purchase their dinner after finding out they came back to work to help during the storm. They simply said they were happy to help. What rare people to find! We are so very thankful for their hospitality and may my God shine His face on you both.
From our experience and a consistent theme amongst other reviews with the cons of staying here rest, mainly, with housekeeping. There was visible mold around the carpet of the air conditioner in the front, Coach did come with mold cleaner and thoroughly cleaned it and apologized, there was also large places where the caulk around the tub are black, there were no sheets in the closet for the let out couch, so they needed to be requested. Additionally, there is a blood stain on the couch mattress and there was nothing but the fitted sheet to cover it. I used the extra pillowcase for added protection for peace of mind. Overall, you can tell the room was just breezed by and not cleaned well. Once this issue is resolved, this will help tremendously with creating a more positive experience for guests.”

“Wanted to take a second and write a review about Sandra ( manager I believe ) at the Home 2 suites University blvd Tuscaloosa . I had an issue with a reservation . Not only did she work with me and help me resolve my issue ...she is about as friendly as they come . A+ Home 2 ! You have a good one in Sandra. Fantastic customer service !”
“Check in lady was so beautiful and happy with big smile and very kind. Rooms were very nice and clean. Bathroom nice and updated and beds were comfortable. Male employee by coded bar was pleasant and helpful. And check out staff ( 2 ladies at front desk) were friendly and extra helpful. So nice to experience pleasant staff from check In to check out.”
“This was right off University area, thank goodness for GPS. Was a little hard to find. Getting back on the freeway was fun, as in not right off freeway. But rooms were really clean and YES they do allow Pets. Mine is Service animal but they do allow regular pets too.”
“Very helpful front desk, they were all so nice. The pool was big and clean, the rooms newly redone and the breakfast was great, the price for one night stay was just right. If we travel through Tuscaloosa again for the night we will stay again.”

“Premium rooms should be cleaned and look WAY better than what they do!!!! Require a $50 deposit for it to look like a regular room! Only difference is,it's a room inside the room with a door!!! Nothing else is different about the premium rooms and the ROACHES are just disgusting!!! Say no pets allowed,a dog on the 2nd floor barked ALL night!! Can't smoke in the rooms but when you go to the smoking section,Random people just pop out staring!!! For the price and rules this hotel have,I was expecting something WAY different but I'm making it work till I'm done with my contract job!”

“Loved the pet friendly policy. The room was good, looked clean, but had a musty smell. Discovered what looked like mold or mildew in the corner by the window. Bathroom was clean, but the door to it had evidently been pulled back too hard, it was hanging on one corner, and couldn't be completely closed. Both small maintenance issues. Nice having a mini fridge and microwave in the room. My MAIN complaint is, there is no place to SIT. The desk chair is useless, and IMO that desk is nearly useless. Lol. Too big, and a love seat or a couple of armchairs would be a better use of space. There is plenty of room for that in the room.
If we were just sleeping here, it would be a perfect room, but we were here for a couple of days for a graduation, and spent the majority of one day in the room.”

I would definitely come back to stay at the Wingate.
Very happy with our stay as I am very particular about hotels. It’s a little further out from downtown but only by a couple miles. Again, for the price and the cleanliness it, outweighs the travel of a few miles.”

“Overall experience was okay. Considering it was last minute booking and the first room put us in,the air did not work. An old, tiny air-conditionier was in the ceiling, We asked for a fan and they brought us one but ut was like an industrialfan big and loud. We did try to just get cooled off that way,But the temperature went from 72 to 74. They did put us in another room, and it was bigger. And they said they knew they was having problems with that room, the only thing is, why would you put us in that room other than asking for a jacuzzi, and that would be the only queen size with a jacuzzi.Overall, 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟! The service was great and friendly. FYI the other room had two air Conditioning units in it. It got really cold enough considering how hot it was outside!”

“Honestly I can’t really complain we simply stopped in due to pure exhaustion from our drive home. The only issue I had was that we were given three different rooms. The first one the keys didn’t work, the second the ac was messed up but when I went to the front desk the lady was incredibly sweet and apologized and gave us our third room and the everything was great. With that being said we simply turned on the ac and went straight to sleep. The beds were very comfortable. I didn’t have the opportunity to pay attention to anything else but personally it’s a good value for the money”
“We arrived quite late, and Daniel, the general manager, just happened to be in and wasn’t even working at the time. However, he stepped right in to solve a small issue we had at the Fairfield and absolutely took care of us at the adjacent property, the Courtyard! His calm demeanor and professionalism certainly won us over, and we have such high praise for him and his team at the Courtyard, including Skip and John. Thank you for your kindness and for making our stay so comfortable! You guys go above and beyond!”
“Clean rooms, great staff, check in was a breeze. Breakfast was good too. 3 stars in the room only for the mattress which seemed already due for replacement. The sides were sunk with a firm middle.”
