“Better, friendlier customer service than any other storage place I've used. I move a lot, so there have been quite a few. No hidden fees, gave me a lock instead of charging for it. Which is great - I had a storage unit at a different place broken into mainly because I hadn't got around to putting one of the round style that are much harder to saw into on the door. It's like they're happy people who want your junk to stay safe. Refreshing.”

“Have used Ship Creek Storage for both item and vehicle storage and have been very happy. Recently I moved my car back to my place before the end of the month intending to cancel storage and forgot to do so before I saw the bill that happens at start of month. "Oops oh well" I thought. But they noticed I removed the car, emailed to ask if I still wanted the spot, I said no and they refunded the charge for the month, all without me ever even asking. Can't imagine better customer service than that.”

“Great Place to store! Older Mini-storage with great rates and locally owned. Just Changed their name to Discount Storage which fits their prices! After calling around I was surprised at the discounted rate I was offered!!Easy access for my large moving truck. They were quick to give me free recycled packing boxes when I ran out...I'd stopped by the office to buy boxes and they offered the use of recycled boxes that you return when you move out. Great idea! I'm looking forward to free heat in winter and there's no hidden fees such as computer fees, sign up fees etc. one guy I met had been there 3 years and hadn't had a rent increase. I called around to other storage companies and none would guarantee no rate increase for 6 months or more like Discount did. The unit I rented was $80 cheaper than the closest competitor!!Great price and Nice people!”

“When my uncle passed away he left behind a baby grand piano that was gifted to us. The piano was an hour away and my aunt was in the process of moving out of state. I contacted Alison and was able to schedule a move the same week. Even on the coldest day(-36°), the piano was successfully delivered. They packed and protected it for its journey to its new home. On arrival they were careful with bringing it into the house, used moving blankets, protected my floors, set it up and made sure it was where I wanted it. Customer service and time was great. Thank you for everything. Having my uncles piano safe and sound means the world to us.”

“After some issues with this company I can confidently say that if you communicate a problem to Mia and she has the time to deal with it she likely will.The movers were respectful enough. I would think about the protection plan if you have anything remotely fancy but that’s the case with any move. The responses for the planning were prompt and they did respond in accordance with my timeline to the best of their abilities.Mia has gone above and beyond to ensure to right the wrongs we experienced in our move so far. I had a couple problems with the service, I addressed these problems with the claims department and Mia. The claims department was entirely useless they basically told me that because I did not purchase the protection plan I’m SOL. I was offered an honestly disrespectful amount to replace some items that were broken or did not make it. Mia however stepped up to the plate and made our issues her priority. She was awesome. She clarified on every topic I brought up to her and really impressed me by fixing the problems I brought up.All in all I would likely do business with again thanks to Mia’s efforts after the fact. Thanks Mia!”

“My Hyundai Venue was vandalized back in March. After getting my car fixed from Lithia Hyundai I did not feel safe parking my car in my Condo parking lot since two other Hyundais had been vandalized. “Not super cheap nor super fancy, but such is the market for covered storage in Anchorage.Have used these guys a couple of times, and been universally pleased with their customer service... Every staff member has acted like they want to be helpful, which might seem like a low bar, but is enough to stand out from the crowd to me.And they'll refund a partial months rent if you vacate mid-month, which seems like the sort of common courtesy which ought be universal, but again, in my experience has not been.”

“This company really came through for us. We had a last minute need for a moving company and we received a quote for their services that also included the price for having our items shipped with AML. They were up front about all the charges and we were able to book them for the day we needed. We ended up not needing to use their services and they were very professional about our cancellation.
