“This year I have rented from Enterprise in South Fairbanks twice for several weeks each time. During our cold, snowy January, I was able to get an all-wheel drive car with autostart. Just recently I rented another very comfortable car.
The staff were professional, courteous and thorough in going over the car with me to make sure everything was as it should be.

“I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with this location. My flight was delayed by several hours, and unfortunately my reservation was canceled while I was still in the air. When I arrived with my coworkers, there were no cars available on the lot.
Given the circumstances, Beth at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate my team. She went above and beyond and was ultimately able to secure a vehicle for us, even though every other rental car company at the airport was unable to help.

“I feel like I need to take up the mantle for this place for those of you who are in similar circumstances to mine.
If you're reading this, there's a strong likelihood you're evaluating options for an Alaska vacation and are looking for some reassurance on a cheap yet reliable car rental. I was extremely apprehensive about booking here after reading reviews, so much so that I had even booked another refundable vehicle at a different provider in case this fell through. There were a lot of opportunities for things to go wrong: it was a one-way rental to Anchorage, my arrival time was after midnight, I had booked through a third party instead of direct through Budget. Add to all of that I had never been to Alaska and was very far from home and after 9 hours of traveling would certainly not want to deal with hassle.
That's why I was relieved to see that the entire experience was stunningly easy and straightforward. Loke was informative and efficient and we were provided essentially a brand new vehicle that was free of defects, blemishes or any evidence of previous wear and tear. The vehicle served us well over nearly 1,500 miles of driving without a single inconvenience or concern to speak of. Even returning the vehicle at Anchorage was simple and quick.
Overall it was a spotless experience that I'm grateful to have gone through with. So if this can allay some of your concerns as a prospective traveler, let this be an example of how sometimes things work out just fine.”

“I was more than a little intimidated by the snow and cold temps, but the staff at Alaska Auto Rental gave me plenty of good advice, and their outstanding rental cars did the rest! All of their cars are fully winterized, so even though it got down into the negative 40s the car ran just fine. Unlike some of the other rental companies, they install quality snow tires on all of their cars as well, so I felt comfortable driving both on the snowy roads outside of town and on Fred Meyer's icy skating rink of a parking lot.
You know a company is doing a good job when random locals spot your 'Alaska Auto Rental' sticker on the back of your rental and come over to tell you that you made a good choice, which happened to me twice over the course of a two-day rental!”
