“Ketchikan cruise ship terminal area has many very big gift/souvenir stores. Sockeye Sam’s is one of them. The store is huge and easy to navigate. Everything inside is a more reasonable price than most gift/souvenir stores in other areas. The cashier at the counter is very fast and all the employees are polite and helpful. I had a very enjoyable shopping experience.”

On top of that, they have an amazing selection of jewelry like bracelets and rings that are just beautiful!! And price, BABAYYYYYY….can we say AFFORDABLE!! Def a must stop! They are right off the tram so if you take that up, this small gift shop is a place you just HAVE to stop by!!”
“This is a great little shop with unique, locally crafted items. I bought two beautiful etched glass wine glasses. They did not survive the trip home though. I tried to call to order replacements and have them shipped, but the number listed is not a working number. :(”
“The cutest fish platters that you have to have if you live in Alaska, serve salmon or want a unique gift from Alaka. The Polish pottery dishes are gorgeous, fitting for a family heirloom collection - a bit pricy but it's on my wish list. Unique blank card collection that depicts Alaska scenes well.”
“The Owner went out of her way to help us. We bought $150 worth of merchandise that she shipped to our home for a Reasonable Cost. She was Friendly, Professional and Hardworking.We were in a hurry, because we decided to go to Creek Street at the Last Minute. She was also sensitive and receptive about us running out of time.We also saw Salmon swimming upstream close to each other in the creek while standing on the bridge.”
“This place really stands out among a sea of crappy, overpriced, tourist kitsch and random jewelry stores you often find in Southeast Alaska ports. The staff was very knowledgeable about the artists and local art traditions, and pointed me right to the authentic local art. They were willing to work with us on the prices, and we ended up purchasing a gorgeous totem and a silver ring. Thanks Stephanie for a great shopping experience!”

“Great selection of clothes and souvenirs here and super close to the cruise docks. The prices were also really reasonable. I had gotten back on the ship, taken a swim, showered and got ready to walk to dinner...and I just couldn't shake the thought of a hoodie I saw here hours prior. So I sprinted off the ship lol. It was worth it. Came back out of breath, but with a hoodie I'll keep for the rest of my life! Bury me in it at this point honestly 😂”
“Besides all the Christmas stuff, which is adorable! this place sells stamps and will mail your postcards, which is a fun souvenir in itself, and you get to put it in the letters to Santa mailbox, which who doesn’t love that”
“Tucked beside Saxman Totem Park, this little shop feels like a hidden gem in Ketchikan. It offers a wonderful selection of local items that beautifully honor the Native community and culture. I grabbed a jar of Huckleberry Jam!
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they wrapped my purchases with such care and attention. You can tell they genuinely value both their customers and the artistry within the store.

“My review is strictly for the ice cream - we were not really in the market for souvenirs. But our bus driver had tipped us off earlier in the day that this was the place to go for ice cream, and she was right! $5 for one scoop, $5.75 for two! We planned to share two scoops, but there were so many great flavors that we ended up each getting our own. There is even a small seating area by the ice cream counter. Perhaps all of the overpricing of merchandise mentioned in other reviews is what allows for this spectacular ice cream value, so maybe buy souvenirs elsewhere and take advantage of it!”

“So many shops in town but this one is on higher end side. They are honest on what is made local, native made or imported. The Rain Barrel is worth stopping in and very close to the port.”
