“I definitely was not a fan as we were not told about the buy 2 get 2 free, Julian was irritated when we pointed out my dad just spent $60 on a ring and wouldn't count it as an item despite not even telling us before cashing him out. We went on to buy 2 ear plugs for my husband so I got to pick out 2 noise pricing for myself for free... my dad who is elderly wanted to surprise my husband with 2 more ear plugs which count as 2 pieces and did not offer him 2 free items, they just cashed him out and sent him on his way... when I realized this we went back to the kiosk moments later and by then Julian was dealing with other customers and just looked very irritated we were standing there and mentioned that they didn't offer my dad 2 free pieces per the promotion. At this point we had to run to footlocker and stopped by the kiosk on our way out, which Julian had left and Deneeka was now there. I explained the situation and she genuinely asked what would you like me to do to rectify this, I said just honor the promotion that's all and we're good. She did just that and apologized that the promotion had not been offered to my dad at the time of his purchase. She was cordial, caring and awesome to deal with. She literally saved this review because it was going to go a whole other direction...I give 4 stars because initially the service was crap, but was rectified by a different employee. Deneeka is a true example of good customer retention. We'll be back because of how she handled the situation. Also granted there are signs I noticed after the fact with the promo but everyone is looking down at the glass casing...I didn't even see the signs... so training your staff to talk about promotions is a great ice breaker to engage with customers. If staff don't want to engage with people, which is how I felt initially from the vibe I got before it was all rectified, then get new staff that will.”

“Went into Southgate Centre today to have repairs done on my engagement ring which consists of 2 diamond wedding bands and my diamond ring. The 3 rings are soldered together and the band was wearing thin. The cost of repairs was more than I was willing to pay and Mona asked if I would be interested in doing a trade in. I said yes, show me what you can sell me that would be very close to the cost of my repairs. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in deciding what type of ring looked best on my finger. I have always preferred yellow gold and ended up walking out with a brand new Canadian Diamond White Gold 2 carat set that was equivalent to my repair costs and an extra $$$ for my Lifetime Warranty. Very happy customer. I highly recommend Mona. Thank you.”
