About Calgary Humane Society
We are a hub for all animals in need—any animal, under any circumstances. Beyond adoptions, we support animal welfare in Calgary though education, outreach, emergency vet services for surrendered animals, behaviour training for those in need, and our unique ability to enforce the Animal Protection Act. We act as a gateway for more meaningful lives. By connecting people and animals, we help animals live healthy and happy lives with the right caretaker. And we help those caretakers reach the feelings of fulfilment and companionship that come with caring for an animal.

We had a wonderful experience adopting earlier this year. The staff were very patient when we realised that we weren't the best match for our first choice and let us have a meet and greet with a different pup who ended up being the perfect fit.
