“Wide selection of items here! They have everything you'd need to throw any type of party from balloons, cards, plates, cutlery, to table cloths, napkins, and party favours. I love their kitchen aisles with cheap spices and containers of all shapes and sizes! They have great stuff for pets and the gardening section in the spring and summer is well stocked!

“This place is great. You never know what you'll find. One thing I find, though is that now that stores don't provide plastic bags, even if you bring your own bag the cashier won't pack your stuff which causes a delay in the lineup. I think they should use your bag and put your purchases in it. Why not?”

The sheer volume of products allows me to shop for so many different items many I hadn’t realized I needed.I have been a customer since Bianca first opened this store in Calgary 20 years ago. She used to supply products for my brick & mortar business.The staff is usually extremely friendly and willing to help. My only complaints would be the staff talking in foreign languages in front of me when I talk to them and more often then not cannot help with any customer service concerns or questions even though they appear eager to help.”

I do wish there were clearer signs showing what’s in each aisle, though sometimes it can be fun discovering things as you walk around. “The staff at this store are really wonderful. The area can feel a bit sketchy at times and you sometimes have to pay attention to who’s hanging around near the entrance. That said, the employees are always friendly and helpful. The store itself is in a convenient location, the shelves are usually well stocked, and you can find a lot of great options for whatever you need.”

“This dollarama was amazing it had everything I wanted plus the staff were very helpful. They went to great length to help me find everything I wanted. I'm a black man, they didn't even follow up and down aisle like I was going to steal that means a lot to me they actually treated like I was a regular customer. I told all my brothers that this dollarama doesn't discriminate against black men, they make us feel like we are thieves. All the other dollarama drop everything they are doing to follow us up and down each aisle to the point where we are like do you want to hold our hand? They make it so obvious, they are 3 to 4 staff following us all around the store until we finish shopping then once we join the line to pay or leave the store they resume their regular duties. It's a waste of time for us to complain we just allow them to do what they do best which is racially profile and discriminate but this dollarama doesn't do that. Maybe after I write this post they will start. I'm joking I hope not. It felt good not being racially profiled or discriminated against for once. As we we expect it in Alberta, Calgary, it becomes something that we are use to. But its not right we are living in a different day and age now. Thank you to this dollarama for not discriminating or racially profiling against black males it means a lot to us. We the black community appreciate you. Thank you!!”
“The only issue is some areas are so overstocked that you have to dig through a bunch of stuff that you don't want, to find what you do... but there's no where for the stuff to go. This can be a little frustrating.”

I once saw an associate helping a French woman who was a mother of three, and he did not hesitate to spend a great deal of time explaining everything as clearly as possible in French. I rarely see that level of patience and care and it’s definitely surprising for a downtown location, where it seems impossible to keep up with the good service level.
While the cashiers could improve a bit in terms of speed, my overall experience here has always been excellent. One area that could also be improved is the narrow aisles. During busy times, customers can feel like they are getting in the staff’s way while they work. It can also be difficult to move a shopping cart through the health and beauty aisle.”

“Dollarama Seton is convenient, but the self-checkout setup makes the experience far more frustrating than it needs to be. The scale constantly triggers errors, which means waiting for staff assistance every few items - and there often aren't enough staff available to keep things moving. What should be a quick stop turns into unnecessary delays. On top of that, prices are no longer the simple $1 or $2 range Dollarama used to be known for, so the value doesn't feel the same. The store has what you need, but the checkout inefficiency really takes away from the experience.”
“I just wanted to say that this was about a month ago, but they had the kindest, most pleasant young woman at the cash. Friendly, smiling and great customer interaction. I was impressed and I told her so! It’s becoming very rare to see kindness in employees in retails & such, so I was happy to see this! Also really enjoyed all the options in your store. “Meh. Stuff is ok. Depends a lot on what you are looking for. For clothes there is a ton. They have food stuff as well but long expired which is to be expected. People are friendly. There are good deals to be had and worth a visit at least”
