FinePrint offers an amazing and incredible dining experience with outstanding food, impeccable service, and top-notch, funky cocktails in a lovely, upscale, and welcoming atmosphere. The modern, French-inflected menu features bold, refined plates and elevated small bites. Standout dishes include the bison tartare, hailed as a must-try and the best tartare, along with Hokkaido scallops, sablefish cooked to perfection, and melt-in-your-mouth braised short rib bourguignon. The tempura green beans and a perfect amuse-bouche are also noted. Set in a historic space, the ambiance is seamless and warm with an open kitchen. While most feedback is very positive, a minor note mentioned a preference for more detailed dish explanations. The experience is elevated further by the option to visit the downstairs bar for another excellent, though sometimes louder, cocktail after dinner. FinePrint is a highly recommended destination at the top of the list for downtown Calgary.
We went with a grp of 8 on a Monday and pretty much had the back half of the restaurant to ourselves, so the noise level might be different depending on the night. Our server, Dana, was fantastic, as was the food. My only piece of feedback would be to have quicker turnaround times for cocktails. Thank you!

A gem in the heart of Calgary worthy of recognition for achieving high levels in dining and discreet service. They offer some very creative bar service and an upscale wine offering worthy of expansion.

The four of us were delighted with everything we ordered. The bison tartare was very good, and the scallop small plate was both a generous portion and delicious. our companions thoroughly enjoyed the duck and striploin entrees. My spouse really loved the short rib croquetas and thought it was a wonderful inventive dish.
