Richelieu's new location off of Stony Trail and Peigan Trail on Frontier Road is very large. They do not have the equipment showroom set up as they just moved in on Tuesday and it is still under construction. Their staff still do not even have washrooms available. As usual, the staff were very accommodating! We are renovating our dining room, refitting and painting an entire bank of dining cabinetry we purchased from Calgary. In refitting and having new doors made for a very large cabinet on the run, we found that we needed additional Blum hidden hinges which were quite old and Richelieu had them! Reasonably priced with all necessary install hardware (49.61) for 6 large hinges was well worth the trip into the city. They took the time to find the right product and we will now be able to install the new doors. Thanks Richelieu. Nice new facility and we will be back to find some wire inserts for some of the cabinets!

This isn't the place for one off customers but if your in the industry and know what you want and are looking for good selection Richelieu is a great place to shop.

Horrible customer service experience. Would love to give 0 stars. Whoever they have hired to answer their main phone line is horrendous. I could tell the moment I called I was inconveniencing her with my questions. Coming from someone who knows nothing about their items I was just asking questions to see how things work with them. She was quick to interrupt me, not let me finish asking my question before giving me a wrong answer and her tone was so unprofessional. Managers should re-evaluate who they have working as a first contact for this company.

One morning when, after exhausting different websites and hardware stores and recommendations, I visited their location, I was met with friendliness and generosity. They had the exact bolts I was looking for and were very kind about the whole experience. Thank you!

Customer service is awful. I drove there to find the showroom closed due to Covid, but the website states it's open. Called the 800 number and the guy didn't care at all. He told me that retail is not the company's focus. So why have a showroom?

I recently designed my new kitchen and was so excited to finalize details with hardware. I drove a ways to Richelieu, as I was familiar with their product. I was not greeted upon entry, which was fine, but it seemed weird no one wanted to help. Once I had picked out my handles, I had approached an older man behind the desk named John, and simply asked him if one of the pulls came in a different finish. He literally told me to drive home, look online and come back when I saw the different finish options. I came to the showroom to see the product in person, where I assumed they would have a staff member able to show me options.He then continued to be extremely “bothered” by more simple questions I had, so I asked him if I was annoying him. He laughed at me and finally got up from behind his desk to view the handles I had picked out. I then told him he was being extremely rude and condescending how he was treating me, which made him more flustered. I don’t know if he is extremely misogynistic, as I am a young female, or what his problem was. I felt extremely uncomfortable, undervalued and by reading the other reviews, it’s very clear others have had this same encounter.I had then asked for his business card (which I clarified with him it was his name). Which turns out, he had given me his coworkers card sitting beside him with a different name than his. As I was waiting, I overheard another employee yelling at a customer on the phone, and the entire place just felt so hostile. Once he returned with my supplies he printed me an invoice, turned away and didn’t ask me to pay, or follow through with anything. I had to ask him if he even wanted me to pay. Which he replied he just assumed I was putting it onto an account. Which is also so unprofessional.This was by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I wish I didn’t have to write a poor review, but if he treats others like this, he and this company should be aware.

If I could leave zero star I would. Dreadful!! I legitimately wonder how places like this stay in business with today’s options? I purchased handles, they arrived and were not as expected. I went to return the items and they charge a hefty “restocking fee” which in my case would have been in the tune of over $100 for unwrapped items to go back in their inventory. This company should have altered policies in this regard. Extremely overly priced and rude, awful customer service. You never know until you get something in your home if it will work. My advice, go else where if you’re going through a Reno and need to make decisions. This company DOES NOT CARE, take your business elsewhere.
