Brought my car in for an engine recall in April and didn’t get my car back for four months. After getting my car back, I’ve had to go back several times (a total of 5 or 6 trips) and my car is still dealing with new issues that were not present prior to the service.
Throughout the period, I’ve been ghosted and ignored several times, and also been misled on what was happening with my car. There were additional damages to my car, dashcam memory card, and a dead battery as a result of sitting on their lot unused for months. They claimed it had been charged and had also claimed my car would be next to be fixed but wasn’t for months.
Would highly not recommend this dealership. Go somewhere else or get a different car brand. I’ve been with Acura for two vehicles and have recommended it to others, but no longer will based on the poor customer service and lack of skills in the service department.
Edit: would also like to add on that damages include bent splash guard, bent battery cables (none of this existed before as I’ve never touched those areas), O2 sensor not working, battery no longer working, memory SD card snapped in half, car jolting when switching gears or braking, and a few more issues. I highly doubt this was all a coincidence under my car being in their hands for a total of 5-6 months. Some of the issues were minor and not a “huge deal” but they were definitely done out of pettiness or lack of skills/common sense.

I bought a new car in January 2024. Since then I have had 2 experiences with their service department, both of them disappointing.
My third visit was great.

My wife and I recently purchased a pre-owned MDX from Silverhill Acura, and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. Sam was upfront and transparent throughout the entire process, and was extremely knowledgeable. We never felt pressured to buy or put a deposit down, and the handover process was extremely smooth. I do not recommend using the service in this place and buying cars. If you still decide to buy a car from them, do not use their additional services before buying a new car! They will simply ruin everything for you and will not return your money!

I just called the dealership to inquire about pricing on the 2024 MDX and spoke with Manson Lee. The experience was not great. I test drove with another dealership which was close to me but the model i need, Silverhill acura had in stock and when asked if their is room in the price he said he cannot discuss in the phone and want me in the store to which i explained that i can provide CC first if eh can give me final price. During the discussion i mentioned the same model being sold by another dealer in Edmonton with lesser price and his reply was why don’t you go there. That is not a reply I believe a reputed company/dealership sales advisor should give. I thanked him and hang up.

Do your research. They add lots of fees to the price including double charging freight (this should be included in the MSRP). I made a very reasonable offer but they insisted on adding fees. Advertised price plus GST! Ended up buying from North West Acura

I purchased a 2016 Lexus RX350 F-Sport 3 from the pre-owner department of Silverhill Acura. Absolutely amazing experience. What a courteous, professional and customer-centric culture this dealership fosters. Jameson was my salesperson from the time I inquired about the listing to the time I took delivery. I recently had a total loss of my 2014 Lexus RX450h due to the hailstorm so I was looking for a replacement. From test drive to working out a deal with Jameson and the manager to taking delivery, everything was a flawless experience. Highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for an Acura or a pre-owner vehicle in their pre-owned section. 5/5 stars.

Due to the recent hail damage in Calgary area, I had to buy a vehicle to replace my damaged one. I was looking for RDX model and test drove few of them over the weekend but I wasn’t fully satisfied. I was looking at the website and found that there was a RDX model just came in so I called to the dealership and Manson Lee reached out to me right away with gentle text and call. I made a appointment on that day after work and went to dealership. I found later that he was supposed to be off at 2 but due to my call and urgency of my situation, he waited 3hrs. While he was waiting me was preparing the vehicle with cleaning inside and out. We went for test driving and of course starts discussing about the numbers. He never forced me to purchase and asking me to make decision right away. Once I made decision the sales manager Sam helped me through the next step and also he was very kind from beginning to the end. I would like to thank them once again for all the support and makes customer comfortable to buy used car. Thank you Manson & Sam

READ THIS ! Took my NSX here to get my trunk opened was charged $300, because they wouldn't give me my own key code unless i brought the car to them. They then advised me i should get full inspection on my car which would take 5 hours. It took them 2 days to not even inspect anything outside my breaks. Which they charged me $250. Absolute scam wouldn’t ever come here again literally a money grab. 0/5

The worst service you can get! On August 14, I went to their website and, using the contact form, asked the following:
"Hi! I'm owner of Acura MDX 2012. Next month I'm planning to do big service. I will need:
1) Engine oil change (5W20);
2) Automatic transmission oil change;
3) Transfer case oil change;
4) Rear differential oil change;
5) Power steering fluid change;
6) Brake fluid change;
7) Coolant fluid change (maybe, didn't decide about this yet)
I would like to know the price for all of these services and the type of oil/fluid that you will use for each of these services.
Thank you"
I received an automatic email message that they would contact me ASAP, but no one answered me during the week. After a week of waiting, I called them personally, wasting my time during my lunch break, with one question, "When will I get an answer to my questions and why is it taking so long?" To which the operator started to create some stupid profile, asking me a lot of unnecessary questions about my personal data (phone number, first and last name, email address), my car's VIN code (of course, I always keep it in my head - NO). I said that I have neither time nor desire to waste my break on creating some profiles and repeated my question, to which I never received an answer. So I asked the operator to go to the manager and resolve the matter so that they would send me a reply to the email. And you know what? I still haven't received any response. There is no way in the world I will contact you for service. Northwest Acura has much better customer service and attitude.
