“This place is a hidden gem in Calgary!! Went there for comedy night and had a blast. The atmosphere is amazing and they have a gorgeous shop where I bought a handmade baby gift, coffee mugs, and a stunning blanket. They have a great drink menu that showcases local breweries and wineries, and you can have food delivered to crush your craving. Love this place!!”

“The Calgary Stampeders are my favorite team in professional sports. Probably because they are the first team that I ever got to know. They are a model of consistency for the last 30 years.I think everyone in Calgary appreciates that and are proud of that. The Stampeders however need to invest in a new home, and make the home game experience better.In the 90's it was a big deal to attend a game, and almost impossible to get a ticket. Now you can't even give away a ticket. I do still love ❤️ the Stamps, mostly out of loyalty.”

I am in a different province and ordered running shoes online -- I have wanted this exact pair of shoes for a while and Strides was the only place I could find them, as they were a previous year's version. I had to return them for another size and there was a frustrating postal-related issue that made the exchange a challenge. Strides staff were so friendly and patient in helping me navigate this! “I popped in here on Weds 11 Feb. Got my gait analyzed and some quality advice on the right runners to buy. The guy (Tony?) was very attentive and knowledgeable but did not pressure me into buying. I left with runners, leggings, and socks and they are all quality. Definitely worth taking the time to get guidance on what to wear.”

“Tri it has always put on the best running events! I have volunteered at multiple races and always been so pleased with the planning and execution of the events! As a runner it can be intimidating signing up for races but I’ve only ever felt welcomed and part of a strong community at their events. Would highly recommend the stuff-your-stoking race!”

Been going to Professional Skate since early 1990’s when they were the “go to” store for high end hockey skates (which at the time were custom fit Grafs)! They’ve been consistently one of the best skate sharpeners in town. Some other great ones have since retired, there are still 2 or 3 in the city i would trust, but these guys have been, and are, consistently one of the GOATs!
Glad to see that though they’ve moved into a great new place in a new part of town, they’re just as good and friendly as ever! i encourage you to buy the skate sharpening card, it works out to only $8/sharpening. Which is almost Sportchek cheap but done by true professionals!”

“We had the pleasure of being assisted by Olivia on Sept 2. We went in looking for a supportive athletic shoe, for my 17 year old niece. Olivia educated us and showed us the styles my niece, wanted to try on. When those options weren’t a good fit, Olivia showed us her favourites. Despite the peach colour of the Altra, which started grow on her! The fit, comfort, and support, were unbelievable that she wore them out of the store. Thank you Olivia, for making our experience, AMAZING! You are definitely an asset to Sporting Life and your store team!”

“Had a great experience today getting my first climbing shoes! The person who usually worked the climbing section was on break when I came in but the lady who ended up helping me was so fabulous. (I don’t remember her name but she had long grey hair) Very kind and didn’t seem to mind me trying on a billion different shoes to get the right fit. When the usual fellow came back from break he had great tips to make sure the shoes I had fit properly.
Found the perfect shoes and even better, they were clearance so I saved $60!! :)”
“After spending too much $ at a very similar neighbouring store in the mall, we thought we’d just do some quick price comparisons… WELL!! Not only did we walk into a giant 50% off sale… we were pleasantly greeted instantly, taken to a section I initially inquired about, offered different colours and sizing w a quick message to the back, a different associate appeared in a minute with everything I wanted! At that point … it was on! The selections, the pricing … and when I thought I was finished, I was told they had TALL sizes! My husband is 6’5” he hits up George Richard’s every few years… So! Combine that with excellent pricing, selection, and outstanding customer service - a giant shout-out to Jesse and the crew! I have found a new favorite store! TBH I had never shopped at EB before! Oh and can’t forget the great and ever-so kind and patient, Augustina, while at check out, I decided to order even more TALL sizes on-line to be delivered to my home. If only I could give you more stars! Thanks so much!!”
