The equipment was in great condition and we also booked a family lesson with Colin Norman. Coach Colin did an excellent job explaining the first steps and basic skills for beginners. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and made learning something new genuinely fun for our whole family. Unfortunately, I had to suddenly return to my hometown and requested a refund the very next day.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They patiently explained everything to me, even helping with translation, and guided me through the entire refund process. Thanks to their support, the refund went smoothly. I was truly touched by their kindness and professionalism.
If I get another chance to go skiing in the future, I will definitely come back and buy my gear here again.

“My spouse and I rented skis here rather than on the hill. Really easy - friendly people - good quality - and here is the biggest surprise of all….
On the mountain I had 3 people (friendly strangers) COMPLIMENT me on my skis!!! In the US, rentals are typically not the greatest so either it’s different practice in Canada or this place is outstanding. Great to use as well - Im too “old” to be risk-taking with sub-par equipment lolol.

“I took a one‑day ski trip to Sunshine Village and chose to rent gear rather than bring my own. Since I was staying in Canmore, I went to GearUp after seeing the great reviews, and I’m so glad I did. The staff who helped me when I picked up and returned my skis were fantastic—friendly, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable. I only wish I’d caught their names.
