“The staff are really knowledgeable here and since it's a small business, the staff seem to really care. We went in needing some advice since our cat needed moving onto some new cat food and the staff did a great job of listening to our requirements about ingredients, texture and price in order to give a series of recommendations.
I generally find they undercut other big name stores like Homes Alive and PetSmart which is surprising since this is an independently owned store.”

“We get most of our dog's essentials here and we love how large the variety of options are for toys, food, treats, etc. It's hard for us as our dog has TONS of allergies but they have such a mide selection of everything that it makes it easy for us to find things our dog can enjoy. PLUS, they do discounts on the first Tuesday of every month!”

“My dog absolutely loved his box. I was very impressed with the toys and the treats. Unfortunately he did not like the treats at this time But he loves the toys. I was very impressed with the box and it was great. It came on the day of his birthday this box was well worth than the box I was ordering from the states for him. I seen you guys ad on Facebook and wanted to order right away. Canceled the old prescription from other people and I'm so glad I did because seeing Joy on his face was so worth it I highly recommend this prescription to other dogs. “Always a lovely experience here! We bring our puppy often & the staff are always so sweet to her, giving her treats & so many pets! They have everything we could ever need & we were especially happy with our recent purchase of the Canada Pooch suspender dog booties! We were able to try them on to find the best fit & a lovely staff member (thankyou!!) was on the floor with me helping to wrangle my pup while we strapped on the booties. Couldn’t have done it without her & now I know the best strategy for putting them on my dog! Thankyou x1000!!”

“This has always been my favourite place to get “stuffies” for my dog, Bubbles. Unfortunately the inventory is not what it used to be but that’s fine with me because this groomer, ASPEN, treated my dog with so much care and precision. My old groomer said my dog, a Papillon, Pom and Cocker spaniel, needed to be shaved right down to his skin every time because he just doesn’t “do well” with grooming. So I tried this groomer at Pet Planet and she groomed him entirely with just scissors. I told her to do whatever she had to do to get him through it (including shaving) and she looked horrified by the thought. She straight up said “I’m not in the business of just shaving dogs if they’re difficult. He clearly does not enjoy being groomed but I made sure to cut everything evenly.” I was SO happy to see him with at least 2 inches of hair still on him and he looked soooo perfect. He didn’t have to deal with feeling uncomfortable all shaved and naked feeling (he’s got VERY long shaggy hair with a Pom face and papillon ears). I meant to write this review ages ago and finally remembered that this woman deserves her shine. She explained to me how important cutting his nails were and that his back legs were off when he walked as his nails were way too long. I truly felt like she cared about him and he wasn’t just a dollar sign to her. I asked if I could bring him back to her and she happily agreed. GO ASPEN GO! Amazing at her job and very affordable for all that she did. I can’t thank her enough.”

“This store has a good selection, the prices are reasonable (I love that they have house brands. Shedrow and Elation products are excellent!) and the staff are really helpful, friendly and approachable. I was chatting with one of the girls there about Back on Track products and asked if she happened to know if the Thermal Therapy was any good, and she gave a hearty personal recommendation and also mentioned that they go on sale... I've successfully suited up myself, my boyfriend, and like 3 other family members in Thermal Therapy (another house brand!! Haha) and they are definitely comparable to the B.O.T., and I really appreciated the sale tip.”

“I take my dog here for baths and I’m so thankful for the ability to not have to use my own tub at home to do it! The staff have always been great, and I really cannot understand why there are complaints on here about a 30 minute time limit… I have a lab and am always in and out in 15 mins. Elizabeth was also extremely knowledgeable with the fish luckily she had the time and patience to answer all my dumb questions and helped me get a bunch of saltwater fish. The new owner was also very nice and fun to talk to! All in all 10/10 service with very helpful and knowledgeable staff the store has a great selection of products and healthy livestock.”

“We stopped in today on our way to adopt a rescue cat because we needed supplies first. Savannah was such a help picking out the best options for our new friend.
On top of being super friendly and a delight to deal with, she had extensive knowledge on all of the products from food to litter.
She made sure we got an informational pamphlet with coupons as well that saved us almost thirty dollars during our first visit.
Both Savannah and Viktoria went above and beyond during our visit and even though it's across town from our place I think we'll keep making the trip North because of the staff.
