“Good place to shop for African/ Tropical foods, I mostly fined products I need to get my cooking done, the only thing I will like to see is that most items be labelled with price tags especially can items and food item I.e. yam, etc.”

“I’ve been coming here for a decade and seen it through several owners. The current owners are friendly and their prices are pretty good; some stuff is even cheaper than the grocery store, such as noodles or toilet paper singles. Other stuff can be a bit pricey. My only complaint is a lot of their candy and chips etc is expired. Like… months expired. Really not good.”

“Seems a bit in transition. Pizza is rarely on, yet highly advertised. City of Edmonton wants to move the postal outlet. Neighborhood doesn't seem to agree and has quite the petition going.”

“Comfortable when here to shop for certain items. Staff are courteous and treat customers with respect. Thr products that I purchase there are approximately the same price as most retailers that sell the items.”

“This is my Neighbourhood's closest grocery to me. I love this place. Family owned and operated! Sometimes they seem to just guess prices and usually on the expensive end. Ex they sell smuckers jams. The big size is $6.29 and the much smaller one is also $6.29.... Some of the items are older then me with 45 years of dust. Only recently stopped renting out vhs and dvds. Very unfortunate. Sometimes you can get lucky and find some decent prices. All very friendly including the bodega cat and dog. They live above the store too. It's extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Do not recommend dairy in the summer. Otherwise it's a great little shop.”

“Love the food court here! They offer a variety of Vietnamese noodle dishes including pho, bun bo hue, bun rieu, and more. They also have banh mi and other foods. Everything is pretty good value. The flavour of the broth is flavourful. Sometimes we eat in the food court and sometimes we do take out.”

“Entering this place gives me so much happiness?? i think it’s because at the entrance there were so many delectable and delicious food on display, like your eyes and head won’t know where to start. “Open til 10 PM. Fast and friendly service with very good prices and variety of groceries.I have asked for numerous items to be stocked on a regular basis, and in every case they have gotten the item for me. I just brought in an empty container that they can use it as a reference. Where else do you get that kind of service? 5 Stars!More than half of the bad reviews here were all left by the same person who seems to have a vendetta. Why else would one person post THREE bad reviews? That lowers the overall score immensely. Nobody should be allowed more than 1 review. Please join me in reporting all 3 reviews by Magda Peisert Zamorska, so that the "system" can see what she is doing. Hopefully 2 of them will then be removed, so the unfairness will then be remedied.”

“Probably I am biased because I am a Filipino but dang! This grocery is so clean and the people are quite friendly, talking about Filipino hospitality. The food is also yummy!! Down side perhaps you cannot use credit card, only debit or cash.”

“We dined on a Thurs. evening. My husband heard from a Lebanese friend that food was good so we gave it a try. The place looks more like a dining hall. Not that there's anything wrong with that! Lots of long tables, specifically designed for large families & groups. There's a stage which the waitress told us there is dancing and entertainment on Fri.&Sat. nights - and appears they host weddings due to the size. We were seated promptly and asked if we would be smoking a hookha that evening. I guess Sarah gets around the smoking bylaw by having fruit/herbs smoked in them. Since we don't smoke, we were seated at the far left at these red vinyl booths on risers. (the seats need re-placing or upholstering due to a few burn holes and worn seams). We also saw ashes on the floor next to our booth from prior guests... staff should have saw that when re-setting. The evening was quiet with only a few other tables in a very large space (we were table #100!) - so the few smokers at the other end did not bother us. However, I think on very busy nights...those with smoke sensitivity should probably stay away. With regards to the food - we tried 5 plates from the appetizer section to get a feel for the place; Fatoush salad (small) , Hummos Beyrouti, Fried Kibbeh, Calamari and the Warak inab bil zeit. All were good. The salad a nice change from the typical Greek or Ceasar; the hummous was elevated from the usual style...a must try; the Kibbeh -- looked like little footballs - meat/filling inside a bit dry - but tasty -- would have been nice if they served it with some yogurt sauce - the Calamari was battered and fried like onion rings...not sure why - would it have been better/more authentic to have the rings just saute'd in oil & garlic?? -- and the Warak are very similar to Greek Dolmades. Overall we were satisfied. We each tried the Lebanese beer -- like a Pilsner. 5 dishes a bit much - took home the leftovers. Cost with tip $85. Nice service. Will try the kabobs next time.”

“This place is a blessing! They always have what I need, and things I didn’t know I needed. Everyone who works there is so nice. They serve the community exceptionally well!”

“They lose two stars for cleanliness. Also, the place seems to have a security issue, but they do have plenty of security staff. Gain one star for actually making an effort to reduce some food prices. Don't be fooled though, most of the effort is standard Superstore or Loblaw with more prices matching their warehouse style shopping.”

“I go there to buy Indian stuff because everything available there in good condition. All the items are neat and clean. Especially food items are very good. I saw other stores but they are not as good as hello India. Thanks team. Hello India for providing everything we need”

“It's a busy place - mind I usually stop in after work or weekends, so it might have quieter times during the work week. But I love the variety of goods here. It's in the 'Meadows' district of Edmonton, but nestled right next to "Mill Woods" area which is ethnically diverse. What am I driving at? The store caters to a variety of ethnicities so the variety of groceries is fantastic. Feel like being bold and trying to cook cuisine that you don't normally cook? Chances are you'll find some harder to find ingredients here. Myself - I'm not from India but man, I love me some butter chicken. Looking for the ingredients to cook it from scratch? Good chance I'll find it here is what I'm driving at.”
