One small suggestion would be to update the holiday hours on Google — I was hoping you’d be open on January 2nd as listed, but the store was closed. Their halal meats are so fresh and greatly priced.
We buy their grape leaf appy and zeit w/ zaatar and cheese all the time and it’s always 10/10.
Customer service is super friendly too! You won’t regret stopping by.
Also, Sayah’s might be one of the only places (close by) where you can get bottled nectar juices!!”

“Our family loves Safeway for the quality of the meats and produce.
The bread is probably some of the best as far as grocery stores are concerned, much better than Superstore and Save On. (At least for us)
Prices are a bit high on everything else though so make sure to compare.”
“✨This is an amazing food store✨ We visited here last week to check turkey prices and were very impressed with the price and quality of the meat section. The turkey prices were the best bar none and they had prime rib roasts for the best price I have seen in a long time. Other shoppers had also done their homework and were taking advantage of the great beef and turkey prices and stocking up. The Co-op has a great look to it's store which has a really good vibe going. The assortment was very very good with all the pork and chicken as well. Fantastic selection of dry goods as well. We found some different pastas that we just can't wait to try. Several different brand names with a great deal of local producers and businesses being supported. We are defiantly shopping ??️ more here. We grabbed a Co-op number and are now members to share in the cooperative ??”

“What great service! Just finished buying some groceries and three wrapped falafel‘s (made by his mother, delicious!) and it began to rain, cats and dogs! As I was wondering how I would get home, I was walking, Zohair asked where I lived. When I told him a few blocks away, he said “come on I’ll drive you”. Took me right to my door, very kind! Customer for life now.”
“Staff here is awesome, always helpful. The team has been there for a while so they all have lots of experience and knowledge assisting customers.
Selection here is a little bit smaller than the Sobeys by town center, however it should have everything you need. I’ve never had a problem finding something here in my 20 years of buying grocery from this location.”

“In keeping with our community spirit today and after just visited the Delton community hall, we drove by and stopped into the wonderfully quaint Delton Grocery Store. It doesn’t take an architect to appreciate the exterior, beautifully painted, well cared for, and clearly preserved with pride. I wasn’t surprised to see a heritage plaque recognizing the history of this wonderful store, what a beacon of light in this North Edmonton community.
Stepping inside to see what was being offered we decided to purchase one or two items. Not just to support local, but surprisingly I found the pricing actually on par with Safeway across the city. The pasta sauce might have even been cheaper, no joke.
Places like this are easy to overlook, but they shouldn’t be. Character, history, and fair pricing all under one roof. A must see if you are travelling in this neighbourhood.”
“VRS Mini Market is my go-to Asian and South Indian store! They carry most Indian groceries, especially Kerala and Tamil Nadu items. Fresh vegetables, fully stocked shelves, and very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable compared to other Indian stores. Clean, organized, and easy to access. Highly recommended!”
“I've been shopping at this store for years, and have always appreciated the staff and service that you provide. But today, I saw an interaction that deserves to be recognized. There was an elderly lady who was struggling to find the items that she needed, and so one of your staff walked with her and helped her find milk, potato chips, and who knows what else. She was patient and helpful and kind to somebody who would have struggled on her own.
I tried to find her afterwards to pay her this compliment directly, but she was nowhere to be found. Like most superheroes, she probably just quietly went on to doing other superhero things.

“Great selection of Iranian brands, their stock of products are not consistent. Some shipments get delayed, so keep that in mind when stocking up.
The personnel are pretty polite, but when I asked them to check their inventory for 3 or 4 different products, they didn’t take the time.
Nonetheless, I guess it’s a pretty decent choice in Edmonton. I have been to Iranian grocery stores in different cities which are incomparable to this one, first of all I don’t think this store identifies as an Iranian supermarket, I may be wrong, Second the Iranian diaspora population in the other cities are much larger and create a bigger demand.
I think it’s worth stopping by once and judging on your own. I am quite neutral to them.

“I just tried their restaurant… My struggle for over 1year and half has been to find an African restaurant that beats homemade meals. I’ve finally found it and I’m so glad ! I ordered their grilled fish and it’s the best I’ve had in a long timeee (took it with brown rice). The qty and price are reasonable. Eating outside just begins to make sense for me now lol. I can’t wait to try the rest ?
The super market food selection is also very diverse. I’m glad to have discovered them.”

“I love this Safeway location. Everyone is friendly and helpful. A Clean,organized and innviting store. Yesterday April 15th, I went to my favourite flowershop and bakery at Northgate Safeway. Ash did a gorgeous pink roses' bouquet with baby's breath in a pinkish vase that I bought there. The price was very reasonable and the pink roses' bouguet looked stunning with a gorgeous burgundey ribbon. The recipient of the flower arrangement absolutely loved it! Thank you Ash :). Flowers from Safeway, in general, live longer and stay fresher than flowers from other stores,I noticed.
At the bakery, Wajiha was very helpful, professional and friendly. She helped me pick a cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream. It was so delicious and so fresh! The price was great too.
Overall. I love Safeway baking. Last month I was at Safeway, Wajiha was at the samples' table. My friend and I loved the bakery's version of timbits. They had a delicious cinnamon and sugar coating with caramel filling. Just perfect!

In addition, Stacey and Stephen,I notice, always go above and beyond in helping customers. For example, 2 months ago, I was having an issue with self checkout and with my credit card also. Stacey and Stephen helped me sort out checkout issues ,with a smile. I have also observed them.help other customers, they were just great!
Professionalism and respect to customers is obvious in every interaction with emploees at this store! Quality of all products is never compromised, all at reasonable prices in a clean organized environment. Best Safeway location in Edmonton by far!”
