“This is a straight forward shop, with no bs, that i would recommend to anyone. I came in with my car in slow mode expecting massive repairs, the staff took my calls (a lot of them) answering each question or concern and giving me clear estimates broken down with photos and breakdowns / explanations all in a nice convenient online link and why it was needed, nothing in the process felt like I was getting ripped off or pulled along, the shop worked with me to make things as cheap as it could be. They even told me hey this part should be under warrenty and after investigation I found out that it was in fact covered under warranty ( long story short i was told by my original car salesman that it was not and those guys garage told me to go investigate again ) and when I found out it was under warrenty the owners were ecstatic that I didn't have to pay them a massive bill. They could've just said eh that suck here's the bill. They cared enough to get me my best options with complete honesty and openness throughout the whole process. 10/10 Customer service and attitude, this place is nothing but helpful and wanting whats truly best for their customers. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work and help!!”

He'll tell you when you actually need to replace your breaks/tires/fluids, etc. instead of blindly following a checklist like dealerships do which end up costing you much more. “I have been looking for a vehicle repair shop for some time. I live in rural Strathcona County and had seen Smitty's Auto Service a few times a couple of blocks from my place. I checked online reviews and saw that they were well thought of. I made an appointment and get my repairs taken care of. I met the owner who is a local man who has lived here since childhood. John has spent a lot of time building race cars so he knows cars. I needed a lot of work done and his shop was quick and efficient. The repairs were not cheap but most parts and service are not cheap any more. They used quality parts and worked quickly to get back on the road. I found they did not suggest any unnecessary extras that I usually get at other shops. Over all I had a great experience with Smitty's. I would highly recommend.”

“Can't praise these guys enough.We had an issue with our truck that put it into limp mode making it extremely unsafe to drive.I called on a Friday to see when the next availability was, and the lady said bring it in ASAP and we will try to squeeze you in.Well sure enough they fixed it that day and the price was approx half what the dealership would of charged.Very pleased to find an honest repair shop close to home.”

When I went back to pick up the vehicle they told me that on closure inspection one of the parts did not need to be replaced and therefore my price was $300 less than I was quoted. They checked my tire pressure, asked if I would like my apt filter checked. Cleaned my windshield, they even gave my grandson a hat!
