“There were so many people buying lottery tickets that you couldn't pay cash for your gas so you had to use a card which I didn't want to do. Sometimes they need two people in there one for gas and one for lottery tickets and cigarettes”
“Between Save-on-Foods and Safeway/Sobeys I prefer Save-on-Foods primarily for pricing and meat. However, Safeway/Sobeys stands head and shoulders above all others when it comes to the bakery. The products coming out of the Safeway/Sobeys bakery keep me coming back. I have noticed that bread loaf size is very reduced while prices remain the same or are increased. Many other bakery items seem to be smaller in scale for the same price or higher so I am of course looking for the same quality elsewhere but at more reasonable pricing. However, no one can compare to the outstanding customer service and attentiveness provided by both Lance and Pat Roach in the bakery at Stettler Sobeys. They are the only reason I keep returning because of their product and VIP treatment. There is one checkout woman who is judgemental and needs to move on but everyone else at this location is wonderful. I highly recommend the chicken strip lunch with the honey mustard sauce. Not overly garlicky like fast food places but delicious just the same. Thank you Lance and Pat.”
