“Loved it - loved the firepits, the music in the halls, the room was really nice but didn't feel like a hotel, it felt nicer! The ONLY negative things I can possibly think of is that while we liked the balcony, there wasn't much of a view; someone was smoking under us and the front desk was on it right away - thank you! The pool is in a cute secluded area - but it's across the street... for some reason I thought it was in a courtyard?? It may have closed early, or for some reason we didn't get a chance to use it. The free drink on check-in was nice! We got the Sip & Stay package for one of our two nights, which gave you a $50 gift card to use across any of their restaurants. It was a bit annoying that at least at Crema, and possibly the others, there was a 3.5% non-cash fee applied... on their own freaking gift card is what they told me - but I don't clearly see that on my receipt so I may have been misinformed... but I do see a to-go fee.. More frustrating was the free continental breakfast or $5 credit towards breakfast at Crema - you can get drip coffee and a specific pastry; I wanted an espresso instead and I couldn't just pay the difference - but it was less expensive for me to ask for the pastry out of the package - toss the coffee I was given for free, and then buy my own espresso separately. Also, they don't give you priority seating, so it was an hour wait for that or just get it to go at the window and take it back to the hotel.... for a fee..I would stay again as the hotel was VERY comfortable, but I had debating staying here or Jerome and decided 2 nights here would be better... next time I think I'd do one night in each town or possibly taking a ride on the railroad. Don't miss making a reservation at the SW Wine College!!Rooms: Really nice, modern, comportable - didn't have the typical hotel feel.Nearby activities: Southwest Wine College andSafety: We and our car felt totally safe.Walkability: Very walkable - a block/parking lot away from main streetFood & drinks: Free drink at the pub across the parking lot was a nice touch, as could be the continental breakfast with some improvement..Noteworthy details: Firepits were a nice touch, pool area is across the street but looked nice but it may have closed early??”

“It was the best springhill I've ever stayed at. Super close to Sedona, lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Very clean. The highlight was the outside patio and huge firepit thats on a timer, really nice on a chilly evening watching the sun go down. Lots of seating and space for guests to enjoy.”

“Great place to stay at when going to Camp Verde. The price was a little high but that seems to be the norm around this area since there's not many options for hotels/motels and most were almost fully booked when we were searching for a room at 9pm at night on a Friday. Take a tip please do your hotel searching earlier in the day. The room was pet friendly, really clean and cozy. The office has free hot chocolate with marshmallows, tea and coffee from 6am to 10am. There is no free breakfast or any breakfast. There's a Safeway, taco bell, black bear diner, Dunkin donuts, Mexican restaurants, star bucks, home depot, KFC and gas stations. The motel has a snack machine but it only takes cash. They had a nice looking pool but it was closed in December. There's a nice little swing on the side of the motel rooms for kids to play on. The workers were all really pleasant and we had an overall great experience here. We would stay here again.”

“We have stayed at the Cottonwood Hotel a few times. The host is always very responsive and the check in is a breeze. Although the hotel is old (John Wayne actually stayed here) it is clean and very charming. We stayed in the John Wayne suite this trip and it was spacious and had everything we need. The hotel is a perfect location to explore old town Cottonwood and all the shops and wine tasting rooms that line the street. We also took a day trip to Jerome to do some shopping and dining as well, it is only about a 20 min drive from the hotel. I would recommend the Cottonwood Hotel if you plan on visiting, we will be returning soon.”

“Great place to "spend the" if you're going to Cottonwood for the day and don't want to drive back the same day! We came for hubby's bday and to rent ebikes from Verde Valley Bicycles down the road. (highly recommend them, too) Be sure to make a reservation if you go on a weekend since the lady up front said they always fill up. She had great recommendations on places to eat too. Small room, but recently updated and had all we needed! The only thing I wish I would've brought was cotton sheets. The polyester sheets aren't very comfortable to sleep in, but I'm fussy about my sheets. BYO if you are too. We will definitely stay here again, thank you!”

“Good no frills hotel close to Sedona. It is a lot cheaper to stay in Cottonwood and this hotel is a good choice apart from the major brand hotels in the area. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was a good perk as well.”

“All somebody wants in staying at a hotel is a clean quiet and safe place to stay and that's exactly what I got at a more than fair price. Great location for restaurants yet far enough away from the road that you're not getting road noise. Highly recommended when passing through Arizona.”

“Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. Location is great as the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants. Breakfast was good with hit and cold items. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.”

“The room is very nice but they said that there was some amenities that they weren't didn't have and that was kind of a bummer but they did lower the price a little bit because of that so win I ”
