Alicia at CVS Pharmacy in Avondale, AZ is a hero!
After Southwest Gastroenterology botched my colonoscopy prep prescription 3 times in one day (forcing 3 round trips), I showed up at CVS stressed and frustrated. Alicia discovered her store was out of stock, but instead of sending me away, she quickly found another nearby CVS that had it — saving me hours of driving (I live 34 miles out of town).
Her kindness, initiative, and excellent service turned a nightmare day around. Thank you, Alicia — you went above and beyond! Highly recommend this pharmacy because of team members like her.”
“Walgreens was backordered on an inhaler my kid needed desperately. After calling multiple other pharmacies to see if I could get his prescription transferred and filled quicker and almost losing hope dealing with recorded lines or people who seem to not care about your problems....I stumbled upon this pharmacy and got top notch care and customer service from somewhere I honestly least expected it. Bryce confirmed he had the medicine I needed, worked with Walgreens to facilitate the transfer, and had it ready in about 20 minutes...all when they were due to close within the hour. There's still good people and good service out there, they're just hard to find!”

Sadly that’s not true for all pharmacies. This one isn’t very close to my house, but because of the pharmacist and their team work, I have made this pharmacy my home for the last several years. “The service at that 1515 N Litchfield rd. Goodyear AZ is wonderful. Fast friendly service by all employees and they don't use the excuses like we're 3 weeks behind due to Covid-19, there's always a long line of pharmacy lines waiting to pick up prescriptions, there's no personal encounter, I asked why this was there response was we're to busy to bother with that. I pick up 10 to 15 prescriptions a month. It was like give ur money and leave this encounter was at 995 a cotton ln. Goodyear AZ which is why I drive out of my way to use1515 Litchfield Rd. Goodyear”
“I am becoming mote of a Safeway fan then before. While Frys and Walmart prices and sales are getting to high for me, Safeway pruces and sakes are more reasonable. This past week, I bought a dozen eggs for 49 cents, and I could buy two of them and their sweet freah corn is four for a dollar. I have ti go back for more as the corn was so good! Try it fir yourself!”

“Overall, it was an easy and quick visit/experience with this pharmacy. Was expecting a bad experience given all the recent reviews, but we arrived a few minutes after leaving Urgent Care, and they had our prescriptions ready a couple minutes upon arrival. The most troublesome and awkward part of the entire interaction is CVS pushing their advertisements and promotions program unto you when trying to sign for the prescriptions.”

“The walgreens i originally had my rx called in to was completely out of stock and their supplier was out as well. They transferred me to this Walgreens and the gentleman on the phone advised they had what I needed in stock. He filled them and I had them in less than 30 minutes. Awesome-sauce!!”

“I had a tooth infection that required antibiotics and pain pills. My dentist forgot to send the prescription to fry’s, which I found out after calling the pharmacy and asking the robot that answered to speak to the pharmacy. Called my dentist office and they sent the prescription over. I waited an hour and then called the pharmacy again to make sure I could get it that evening since I was in terrible pain. Person I spoke to was very kind and understanding and said it would be ready in 30 mins. Fifteen mins later I get a text saying it’s ready. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate being able to talk to an actual human in the pharmacy and that they CARED enough and helped me get the medication I desperately needed. They were also awesome when I went to pick it up. I really appreciate their kindness and efficiency and I will go here again if I ever need another prescription. Thank you staff!”
“Lots of parking to run in and grab what you need. Or you can spend sometime checking out what's on sale. Pharmacy is friendly, but can be slow sometimes. Make-up selection is always on point no matter what you're looking for. Love their seasonal section.”

“I tore a ligament in my foot and I needed some medical equipment a boots a knee scooter and a cane they had everything and they were FSA approved so we were able to use the FSA card and the price was decent enough still expensive but could have been more I was in excruciating pain at that point couldn't walk and so being able to go somewhere in the middle of the night after an injury like that and being able to purchase the things that you need to try to make your life a little bit easier until you have surgery was a blessing I appreciated that”

“Stopped using CVS last year since I never got my scripts in a timely manner. Went to Walgreens until CVS Caremark decided to screw me around (restricted refills to 30 days, charged me for 30, stopped authorizing drugs that I had taken with great success, faceless determinations with no recourse, etc.). This CVS really is on the ball compared to those back in Kentucky. Fast, efficient service and friendly staff.”

“Not sure what is going on with the pharmacy lately. They changed their hours. Not open as long as they used to. Even when you show up 10 minutes before they are due to close, they're closed. It's disappointing that you can no longer get your meds the same day the doctor orders them. What if you're in pain? It is beyond frustrating. With the amount of people that have moved into Goodyear, they should be open longer and hire more staff. They lack inventory half of the time too. They always say they need to order it and cause delays. Not sure if it's like that elsewhere, but be warned that this one will make you wait.”
