1939 W White Mountain Blvd, Pinetop-LakesideGetting old is not for the weak of heart and sadly, our sweet little 16 year old Shih Tzu, named Lexie was experiencing the traumas of old age. Her little body was giving out which prompted the consideration of having a veterinarian help her cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. We were referred to Dr. Norris at White Mountain Animal Hospital.
We initially met with an assistant at the clinic who kindly met with me, my wife and our little Lexie. She was very kind and understood the emotional state we were in so she lowered the window blinds for privacy and provided plenty of tissues. At the conclusion of our visit, she excused herself to brief Dr. Norris who sat down with us. She had us explain Lexie’s situation, did an examination on her and concluded we were making the right decision at the right time. She assured us that this difficult decision was being made out of love for our Lexie and the decision was completely ours. She explained the process in detail and assured us that Lexie would not experience any discomfort. She was also willing to come to our home where Lexie felt the most comfortable.
We scheduled a date and were assured that if we needed to modify the date, it was up to us. The day did come and Dr. Norris and her assistant, Mel came to our home. Both of them were very kind, compassionate and very sympathetic to our feelings. I will avoid details but will say the skill and professionalism demonstrated by Dr. Norris and Mel were exemplary. Every step of the process was our decision and our dear Lexie left us in the comfort of my wife’s arms in the most peaceful moment possible.
Experiencing such a devastating loss was heartbreaking but we found solace and comfort with the presence of Dr. Norris. She also assured us that Lexie was ready to leave us as her little body was giving out.
We will be forever thankful for the compassion, skill, expertise and professionalism shared with us that day and we highly recommend the services of White Mountain Animal Hospital.

Called the vet I had taken my other dog to, and they said, " we can see her in 4 days." WHAT! My dog has a possible broken shoulder, and I should wait 4 days! I don't think so. I called Blue Ridge, and they got me in immediately. Great place! Thanks again for caring enough to see my injured dog. FYI, it was just bad soft tissue damage she's doing better...

The salad with ranch as my side could use more tomato or cucumber. My husband had a burger and fries. The fries got a little cold before he finished but they were on the tomato and lettuce. However on our way out we were asked if we wanted drinks to go. Nice touch.

I have been here a couple of other times and they always treat me and my Service Dog, Mac, great. Bree even brought him water. I absolutely love this place.

It’s become a bit of a tradition to have dinner or lunch at this Red Devil whenever we find ourselves in Pinetop, because the experience has been consistently great.
Versus other places in the near vicinity have been… let’s say mixed.
I like how the interior is nice, yet still modest and quaint. It’s not trying too hard to be modern, nor old-timey. It’s just comfortably modest and well-kept.
Waiters have always been courteous and responsive. Whoever is in charge of hiring decisions knows what they’re doing!
When we were there last weekend our greeter went above and beyond.
Food is consistently great, never had a complaint.
The prices are also quite reasonable for what this is.
The only thing I could possibly complain about is that it can be a pain to drive in and out of, due to it requiring a left turn (if you’re coming south/eastbound) right after a traffic light, so you can’t legally sit in the center lane to wait for a clearing, and there’s only one way in and out. But there’s not much the restaurant can do about this, as this is by virtue of Pinetop being a small town that’s built on one big highway stroad, with all properties being siloed from each other.
Just a warning to those wanting to come here I guess. Probably best you go down a bit further and make a U-turn.

But it was 4th of July weekend so they were really busy and it took a while to get seated. The outdoor games were kool but the dogs barking at the waiters and eachother was alarming. Paw Prints On Woodland
727 N Woodland Rd, Pinetop-LakesideThe loss of a beloved pet is a heartbreaking experience. Such was the case with our 16 year old Shih Tzu. We became acquainted with the owner of Paw Prints on Woodland, Sydney prior to the loss of our dear Lexie. She offered to come to our home and explained in detail the services she provides. She was very professional and knowledgeable but also caring and extremely compassionate. Her kindness and genuine concern for our feelings and desires was very comforting for my wife and me.
When Lexie left us and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, Sydney once again came to our home. Her comforting demeanor and her commitment to take care of our Lexie for us, left us with a state of peace despite the devastating loss for us.
This week, Sydney brought Lexie back to us. We know she is busy but there was no evidence of rushing or impatience. She comforted us and left us with remembrance keepsakes of our little fur daughter.
We will forever be grateful for Sydney’s kindness and highly recommend her services.
