River, the customer service expert… was amazing! He helped me learn how the how to use their bathing supplies and even cleaned a tub out for us when I was worried about getting too wet using a platform. He was awesome!!

She has treated our rescue Lhasa. Yes, she is busy. Yes she doesn’t have enough hours. She needs to take time for her own family. I feel So blessed to have found her. 1441 W Gurley St, PrescottI have had medically complex dogs for many years and been to many many many vets all over the state (and even other states!) and I cannot say enough good things about this entire team.
We've lived in the valley, but spend a lot of time here at my moms house so they have been the vet we use when we are in Prescott.
They've always been so accommodating when we've needed to bring in one of our hot mess dogs for something even if they didn't have their full history.
We've seen almost every doctor here and they have all been incredible! Sandy at the front desk is so lovely. The technicians are amazing, kind, and gentle. Dr. Hufford in particular is such a delight to see! I really just adore him so much. I'm so sorry I can't remember his technicians name but we have adored her too.
We truly have never left this practice feeling unsatisfied and that's saying a lot - I have super high standards!
We are moving out of state and I'm truly going to miss this office so much. Thank you all for the incredible care and kindness over the years - the work you do is so important and you are so appreciated!

810 E Sheldon St, PrescottI had to pull an all-nighter, so was looking for anywhere opening early with breakfast burritos. These felt a bit pricey for the size, but I'm spoiled by b.simple's giant 6 egg+ burritos. Ingredients are all solid, and the burritos are just barely dry/dense the way you want a grab-and-go: just juicy enough to enjoy on their own, but no chance of dripping on you unless you add sauce.
The house salsa is a bit hotter than a medium Pace picante, sharp on the tongue but dies down within a few seconds of swallowing. Chorizo burrito tasted unsurprisingly like chorizo. Carne asada burrito had a bit more going on with rice, beans, and I think some peppers and onions, liked it more.
They didn't have the Old Timer burrito this morning unfortunately, so I'll try the egg, chicken fried steak, and sausage gravy burrito next time. Worth stopping in!

Mac's Hot Dogs and Gyros
1130 E Gurley St, PrescottVisit Sunday 6/22. Today Lorri begged me to go try the food trucks we've hears so much about in downtown Prescott. When we got there, there was plenty of street parking and the smoker smelled great. We walked around a couple laps, it was hot and sunny. There are water misters around the picnic tables, which made the heat/sun bearable. We were torn. The BBQ place was where we were going to eat, but at the time we were there - no one was manning the place. So it was between the gringo taco place and Mac's Hotdog and Gyros. The sound of Gyros over tacos (we just had tacos and pizza the day before) hit tge spot, so we went for Gyros and onion rings. An older (our age) couple met us at the window. Pleasant folks. Mom and pop shop? Dunno, but Lorri REALLY loved the onion rings. I did too.
Their rings are beefy thick onion rings, like steak fries are super thick, these onion rings were steak fry thick. The Gyro was pretty doggone good. Reminded me of a Greek place we used to go to in Dallas, when we were dating. Restaurant quality from a little ol' food truck. Great job you two. Thanks for the great experience.

The folks were all very cooperative and genuinely cared for the animals. The owner was a friend of ours and her roommate couldn't keep the dogs so we brought them to some other folks who will work on re-homing these sweet dogs.

Miss Kitty's Cat House
302 N Alarcon St, PrescottMiss Kitty's Cat House was able to accept the little abandoned cat that kept returning to our house and crying out to me for food. We fed her and, after a week we were able to catch her and take her to Miss Kitty's. I was very impressed with their volunteers and with their facility, where cats are allowed to roam free in a relaxed comforting atmosphere. I see some comments here from people who were denied the ability to adopt at Miss Kitty's. Miss Kitty's does not just give their cats out to anyone who wants one. Prospective owners must meet their criteria, and that is because they want to insure safe, good homes for their cats. Having surrendered that sweet little girl (I named her Sweetie), I am very comforted by the fact that they do not just give their cats away to anyone who wants one. They are careful to determine that their cats will go to good homes. That means that some people will be disappointed The important thing is though...that those little cats get the best homes possible, with the best cat moms and dads. And that's a GOOD thing.

She took in a stray that came to me back in later 2022 & he found a home right away .. These cats have such great care .. I jst took her a stray I found near death.I gained her trust .. I fed & fattened up kitty & when Susan had room she took her in .. I met Kelly this time another Angel on earth I’ve never met th main angel (Susan) as she busy up to her neck in Kitty’s needing help but we communicate thru telephone.. I will continue to donate & speak highly of cattyshack .. if a kitty never gets adopted they stay w her in th cattyshack sanctuary
