Quick response, thorough exam - everything I have come to know about Chaparral is reliability, thoroughness, and professionalism! I have to add that I am not always welcoming to change, and for my horses? Not a problem I have discovered!
I will say that my usual request is for Dr Keyser, who is such a pleasure and confidently knowledgeable, experienced and thorough. She genuinely cares about the entirety of the health of each horse. The level of evaluation happening continuously is something I appreciate. She is a little strict on the body fat scale but accurate! (I asked for a review of my dogs and myself- ) ..be careful what you ask for was my lesson because she is very honest! Dr Keyser is always pleasant, patient and helpful and I never feel like I’m don’t have enough time to discuss whatever I need to feel that I’m making an educated decision. What else can I say? You can’t go wrong trusting Chaparal Large animal team ! I couldn’t say that before I was absolutely sure that I have a team and not just another appointment when they arrive.

I brought my dog there a couple months ago because they were able to get him in same day (which is rare for vet clinics) and he was in a lot of pain. They took fabulous care of him over the course of a couple weeks, even calling me days in a row to check on him. Both Dr. Erb and Dr. Forrest were friendly, professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The vet techs who also spent a whole day with him while he received IV pain meds were fantastic. All around, it was the best vet experience I've ever had!

Arizona Skies Animal Hospital

Arizona Skies Animal Hospital are true lifesavers. Someone dropped off a very young mama cat and her 15 kittens, and their entire team stepped up to find homes for all of them. We were lucky enough to adopt three of the boys.

They provided free vaccinations and neutering, and when one of our kittens recently became ill, they treated him with such kindness and compassion—at no cost. This is genuine love and care for animals. We are incredibly grateful and highly recommend Arizona Skies Animal Hospital. ?

Our Iris is a big fan of Hunter Canine, just like we are! She enjoyed in-home boarding and training. Violet always goes the extra mile to make you feel at ease. Iris is a lively German Shepherd mix who has really taken to Violet’s approach and affection. Thanks to Violet, we now have a happy, well-adjusted pup. When we travel, we never hesitate to send Iris to Violet for boarding. She gets to practice her skills and have fun playing with Violet’s own pups and other furry friends at Hunter Canine.

Cave Creek K9 Training

We couldn't be happier with the experience we had with Rodd! Our Doberman spent three weeks with him, and the improvement in her confidence, obedience, and social skills has been incredible. He introduced her to new people, other dogs, and unfamiliar environments by taking her out in public and working through real-world situations. Her obedience is much improved, with reliable commands both on and off leash.

We also greatly appreciate Rodd’s continued support. He's always available to answer questions and offer advice, and it's clear he genuinely cares about the long-term success of both the dogs and their owners. We plan to continue boarding our Doberman with Rodd so she can keep building on the skills she's learned. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated trainer who truly transforms dogs while giving owners the tools and confidence to succeed.

The Village Coffee Shop

This is quite a special spot for us. They have delicious crepes (both savory and sweet) as well as pre-made grab and go items. The coffee is delicious and features a blend from the local Cave Creek Roastery. Sign up for their texts and you will frequently get offers for discounts and freebies.

We like to go and order a savory crepe each and then later order a sweet crepe to share. They will split it onto two plates for us. We have tried their breakfast crepe, and their ham and cheddar crepe and enjoyed both. This last trip, we tried their special Hatch green chile crepe and found it to be wonderful. Just the right amount of heat. Our favorite sweet is the lemon curd crepe.

The folks taking orders and cooking are the best. We would eat here more if we didn’t live a long drive away.

My family and I visited Janey's Coffee House and Bodega today (May 25th) and had a fantastic experience.
We ordered a mixture of hot and cold coffees, and every single drink was spot on. To go with the caffeine, we grabbed a couple of bear claws and a muffin - all of them were fresh and absolutely delicious.
What really made our visit stand out, though, was the service. The young lady who helped us was incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. She truly made our visit that much better!
The setup here is great, too - there is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the vibe, and parking was a breeze. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

I came during Cave Creek Bike Week in April and found that they had really quick service despite having a large amount of patrons visiting the location. I have always been a big fan of a good pork tenderloin sandwich and this one was very good! It was made well and had a good flavor overall. The live music was good and the food came up quick which was welcome after a long ride in!
