“Super cool shop, willing to work with prices, we came from Michigan on a vacation and stopped through, I got a card for way under comps and my brother found a case hit in the value bin. Super fun place and I would definitely go back.”
“Me and my daughter like drawing, craft, model painting from 3D printer or action figures. I found Hobby Lobby has very good selection of paints, especially for air brush. They also carry models from Cars, Aircraft, to Gundam. Very nice ??? and most importantly the price is right. This is my favorite hobby store.”
“Very friendly and helpful! Good selection. Went there to buy a Christmas gift, and they were super helpful (I’ve never played Warhammer, so I was in desperate need for support to buy the right thing).”
“The reviews on here are simply not fair. Travis @ the Hobby Garage is amazing. There are many R/C stores in the valley. Each has pros and cons. Travis has always shot me straight. Never over sold on anything. Tells ya straight up, this model is meh, this model is bad and this is why, etc. I used to live 15 minutes from this store. Now it's an hour. I still make this trip simply for one reason. Travis. Don't be fooled by the random 1 star reviews. It is weird it's 1 or 5 right? Hobby Garage is a true asset to the hobby. If you don't like "grumbling" or "sarcastic fun", go shop on Amazon and buy things that you A,) don't need or B.) will break because you read it was cool on Reddit. Wish I could give 6 stars!!”
“The employees at this store are amazingly friendly, on the floor and at the checkout! Always helpful and kind. My only complaint is that Hobby Lobby is slowly losing “hobbies” and becoming another version of Home Goods. It’s nice to have a place to come for ribbon and fabric, I couldn’t have made any of my Christmas gifts without this store - but I used to be able to find everything I needed without also visiting Michael’s and Walmart.
Now that JoAnn’s is gone I was sure Hobby Lobby would have learned from their mistakes and ditched all the home goods and decor and picked up the things crafters really want. Instead, departments like miniatures/dollhouses, sewing, knitting, stitching, etc have all been shrunk in favour of wall decor and holiday stuff you can also get at Walmart. Honestly at this point I’m ordering the things I used to buy locally on Temu because the stores just don’t carry it. They had things long enough to get you hooked into a hobby but then they get rid of the items needed.
If you want to take up a hobby you’re fine if it’s something super trendy but if you are a serious crafter or hobbyist you will be online. It’s too bad because there was a gaping hole left in the market with the loss of JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby could have absolutely COOKED”
“Kristen in the framing department was awesome!!! Came in with broken glass and frame. In ten min she cut the glass and fixed the frame!! Above and beyond service!! Only place I’d go to frame anything. Thank you Kristen.”
“I have known Al for 43 years and he is a very knowledgeable Numismatist. He is always fair with his customers who have reasonable expectations of the value of the coins they are looking to sell or buy. The reasons you go to Republic Rare Coins:1) Al knows how to evaluate Modern & Ancient coins and will give you knowledge on coins even when you can't make out what they are or where they are from. People come from all over the world just to work with Al.2) When going to his shop. Be serious on what you are looking for or what you are selling. Time is valuable for Coin store owners. If you are just tire kicking like a lot of these negative reviews will post. You are in the wrong place.3) Understand the difference between Catalog price and Market price, they are totally different. If you see something sell on Ebay or any auction it doesn't always mean that is what it is worth. It means what that one person that wins was willing to pay. The catalog is a guide or starting place for pricing. Be sure you know if you only get 50-150% of catalog pricing it is based on market pricing and demand for such a coin.Al has always been fair to my late father Bob Phelan and I over the years that I thought he should be highly recommended as one of the very few business owners out there you can trust.”
“Came by, the absolute best coin shop I've ever been to! I spoke to Brandon and he was the most helpful not only with inventory but amazing prices as well. 5/5 recommend”
