DO NOT GET AN AUTO LOAN WITH THIS PLACE!!!!! I have found out the hard way that this place DOES NOT DO THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY!!! I switched my car insurance, as we all have the right to do, and these a$$holes try to impose their insurance policy on me because they said I didn't have insurance coverage for certain days, never mind the fact that THEY DIDNT UPDATE THEIR OWN SYSTEM, let's just impose some high price insurance on an unsuspecting customer!!!! THIS WILL BE MY 1ST, LAST & ONLY LOAN I EVER GET WITH THIS "financial institution."What's really funny is I know I am not alone since the 1st 10 reviews I saw had almost the same things to say about this place!

In my younger days, I once had to go through an arduous process to obtain my top secret government clearance. It was easier than dealing with this Credit Union, for what one might assume would be a simple process, like transferring funds from another bank. Constant lock outs, security questions which I never set up and would have no idea how to answer, and mystery assigned PIN's which were never actually assigned and provided to me. Their solution is simply visit a branch, so if you happen to be near one then maybe their service would be better. However residing 150 miles from the nearest branch and living in a time where online banking is made so easy through other institutions, it's baffling as to how they could complicate this process so badly.The customer service people are as helpful and friendly as they can be, so certainly no ill will towards the people working there daily, just ill will towards the process or lack there of

Worst financial institution I've ever dealt with. I'm sincerely not exaggerating when I say they make every single step as difficult as possible for the customer. Things like setting up auto-pay, paying off a loan early, turning off auto-pay, even verifying it's you on the phone, are an excruciating process with AFCU. I will never do business with them again and I will plead anyone who is considering them to run as fast as they can the opposite direction.

Beware of this financial institution! I had an auto loan through America First Credit Union, for which I set up automatic payments, to be paid from my account in another institution. Almost a month after my auto loan was paid off, America First transferred another payment for the auto loan that was already paid off. I contacted America First and was told that the transferred payment will be deposited into my AFCU savings account, since the auto loan was paid off. I will then have to transfer that payment back to my account at the other institution. This process will take up to 10 business days, so I will not have use of those funds for all of that time. It seems utterly ridiculous that a financial institution would continue to take ACH payments for a paid off loan, because I didn't know I would have to contact them to stop their automatic payments. I will never do business with America First Credit Union again, and I would not advise anyone else to do so either.

This is the absolute worst financial institution I’ve ever experienced. They ran a hard credit check twice for an RV loan then denied having ran the second one despite my credit report showing it. Once they finally admitted their error, I asked them to reverse the second one. They evaded my numerous calls and emails trying to get the info for my RV loan because they didn’t want to deal with my complaint about them running the second credit check unnecessarily. For over a week I tried to communicate with Alaina Iliff about the details of my RV loan but she evaded my calls to avoid confronting her error. I spoke to her supervisor Lauren Bell who stated that they’d have to run my credit a third time to proceed with the RV loan. Bell said the first credit check was now no longer recent enough (missed the deadline by 3 days which I wouldn't have if Alaina Iliff hadn’t evaded my calls for a week). She stated they can’t use the second one since they already requested to ‘suppress’ that one. She was entirely unapologetic about the entire ordeal and told me not to worry about the credit check as it was already removed from my credit report several days ago. I pointed out that I’d just received the letter from AF today stating they requested the removal just today. I confronted Lauren Bell with her lie and she tried to to blame it on Alaina. Besides being incompetent this business seems to be unscrupulous and dishonest

I've spent every weekend for the past 2 months trying to figure out how the bank screwed up my loan so bad. It's been almost 4 months since I bought my truck and they're still trying to figure it out. I was told by their loan consultants that they don't know how arizonas title process works and they're trying to figure out all the kinks. You should not be issuing loans if you dont know how legal process works. Meanwhile I'm paying money on a vehicle I can't drive. I've never had such a bad experience at a credit union/bank.

Called multiple times before coming in regarding a check, drove an hour to them only to be told the complete opposite thing. The manager there was rude and didn't even acknowledge me regarding the situation

Constant issues with login on their app. Will not recognize face ID for more than a couple days. Then you have to reload your credentials.Other than that, rates are inline with other banks. Branches are far and few between. Overall just average experience.

They make it more difficult than it should be to payoff a loan early. Will not finance any other loan with American First Credit Union.

This Credit Union is so difficult to get things done. Not necessarily this branch but the Credit Union in general. I can never get any resolution on issues. The wait time for calls are always far too long. They give me no status on documents, I have not received a title to sign for my Travel Trailer and it has been 4 months (multiple follow ups on my part). I set up automatic payments and have said they did not receive payment randomly after months of payment. I can not set up an online account because I was never given my PIN and when I requested it they said it would need to come by mail even after I confirmed my identity. The document with my PIN was never sent.I am generally a very patient guy given there is a lot that goes on when you are a national entity but this has been a little much. I have a Credit Union for years back in PA, and I can do EVERYTHING I need over the phone with the reps in minutes. America First please step up your game and make processes more friendly for your members.

Went in to deposit a check and had to tell the teller twice to deposit the check into my savings account. I followed up on the app this morning and she deposited it into my checking. She either deliberately ignored me or was totally paying attention to something else.

The absolute worst customer service no matter when you call expect at least a 45 min wait time on the phone the absolute worst bank ever. Once you get on the phone expect to be treated horribly like you shouldn’t be calling. Horrible despicable people that work there disgusting environment absolutely horrible.
