I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was nice, and the hotel is within walking distance to multiple restaurants. You can even walk about a mile and have your palm read by Mrs. Rita at Mrs. Rita’s Spiritual Awakening Center if you’re feeling like trying something new or if that’s your thing. I will continue staying here at future visits. I will request to not be close to the road though as one side of the hotel is right next to the train and that can make it hard to fall asleep.

Our tour paid for us to stay at this hotel that you cannot turn the thermostat passed 68 degrees. It takes forever for the room to cool. Still only 74. I don't know how you can charge somebody several hundred dollars for a room they have no control of. Fire alarm has been going off for the last fifteen minutes periodically. This place is a big 0. I would never stay here again. Do they not realize it's over a hundred and 108 degrees outside.

The Hyatt rooftop pool in Tempe was pretty nice??
One drawback is that none of their onsite restaurants open until 5pm. This is something to consider if you arrive earlier in the day and want to order breakfast/lunch. They do have an onsite mini market in their lobby area for purchasing a smaller selection of food items, and food delivery, like Uber Eats or DoorDash, is permitted. However, when the poolside bar did open for dinner, their carnitas and chicken tacos were delicious?? Also, the pool itself isn't very big and there were lots of smaller kids (<12 y/o) there during my visit. So, if you're looking for a more relaxed or an adults-only party atmosphere, you may want to consider other locations, like The W in Old Town Scottsdale.
The best things about this location: The facilities are very clean with plenty of towels, and the entire deck space is quite large with plenty of seating options available. Their day pass gets you access to other onsite amenities too, like the gym, which is also really convenient. The bar is open for the entire day and offers fun cocktails in drink pouches they let you decorate with your own stickers, which is a super fun idea!? And the service was excellent???
Rooms: Used a day pass (thru Resort Pass), so no room stay was necessary.
Nearby activities: Many nearby activities, including ASU & their main associated sporting venues, Mill Ave shopping district/restaurants, & public transport access.
Safety: Very safe area?
Walkability: Very walkable area & also very close to the Tempe Transit Center for light rail & bus access.

World’s worst internet and WiFi award goes to this hotel. Terrible internet ruins the whole stay for me. However, the room is quite nice and modern.

Had an issue with a mix-up over the reservation. The desk manager was absolutely NO HELP; when asked if I could speak to the general manager "Tammy L", have reached nothing but her voice mail, still waiting to hear back. They have my money so I'm not holding my breath waiting.

Decent enough hotel, but we had a horrible experience with the management charging us $150 for alleged damages to the room that I’m 100% certain wasn’t us. No notice, statement, or explanation was given, and I only noticed because I am keep close track of my credit card charges. When I called to speak to the manager, she was incredibly rude and short and refused to even have a civil conversation with me. She told me to dispute the charge with my credit card if I felt strongly, but they wouldn’t reverse the charge. In the end I disputed the charge and got a full refund. Super shady business practice and bad service on top, would never go back.

Horrible customer service.. the room and location are good but the people that work here make it a mad experience.. definitely workers have to be retrained on customer service and most definitely won't be staying here again.

The hotel and room amenities were great. The rooftop pool, bar and fitness center had a great view. Parking was easily available. Only concern was noise from the street car late into the night and early morning.

I had purchased online through Booking . Com and some how the date was incorrect in which it wouldn’t let me change the date unless I sent a email and it was non refundable. I called the Hyatt Hotel in which a nice host named Grace fixed all of it. She did tell me that it would not reflect on my reservation so I was a little scared about it so I showed up early just to make sure that it did go through and of course Grace happened to be working at the time and it was all great. I was upgraded to the one bedroom with Den as my room wasn’t ready yet , Wow it was so awesome . Makes me want to come back for a vacation as I was only there for one night for a Graduation. I would suggest this place as it was awesome, looks like there is a lot to do around there as ASU is right across the street. The continental Breakfast was awesome too planning to go back .
Rooms: If you are staying longer I would suggest upgrading to the one bedroom with den as it has a kitchen with full size fridge So you can make your own meals almost like a tie share place
Walkability: You walk right across the Street to ASU campus
Desert Financial Arena.
Also a few steers up seems like a downtown area where there a a lot of shops and stuff but I didn’t walk to any of them as I was cruising around to find the grocery store and gas But would like to just go back as looks like this would be a nice area to visit
Food and drinks: The Continental Breakfast was great just like a small buffet on the week days it opens at 630 am in which everyone starts coming down around 7am but the staff does keep it stocked
As for the bar and the roof top pool the drinks are a little pricey but you can go to the grocery store Safeway and buy your own drinks and snacks and put them in your room. I didn’t order any food as the graduation ended at 10 pm in which that’s when they close so I ordered pizza from GUS pizza around the corner and picked it up as A lot of places close by 10 pm nothing like California ?
But reasonable

Great location, newish hyatt house. Classic hyatt house experience. Only ding is that our room wasn't cleaned well.. could tell they did a fast job in the bathroom (streaks, hair on floor, some dirt there and around sink) so we had to do a bit of cleaning (too tired to ask for another room). Went, but didn't use rooftop pool... looks cool, but full of younger people loud/drinking. Oh, even # rooms face the light rail.. expect hearing bells around 5a in the morning.
