“Wonderful Thrift Store With a Beautiful Mission. :)
I stopped by Hope’s Closet in Goodyear for the first time and absolutely loved the entire experience. This thrift store is run by New Life Center, and all proceeds go directly toward supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence — which makes shopping here feel meaningful and impactful. I love the heart behind their mission, and you can genuinely feel the purpose the moment you walk in.
The store is very clean, well organized, and surprisingly well stocked with everything from women’s, men’s, and kids’ clothing to shoes, accessories, home décor, small furniture, books, toys, and household items. Honestly, their selection is better than many big-name thrift chains, and the prices are very reasonable.
The staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly. I had a lovely checkout experience with Ms.Theresa, who was so warm, helpful, and in full holiday spirit — it made my visit even better. Everyone here treats you with kindness, and the environment feels welcoming and peaceful. It’s located conveniently next to Palm Valley Church with plenty of parking, too.
Overall, this is a beautiful store with an even more beautiful purpose. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Hope’s Closet to anyone looking for affordable finds while supporting an amazing cause.”
“Very reasonable. The cashier was very nice and gave me a tire pressure gauge because I wasn't sure of the price so he threw it in with my purchase. Sometimes they have an item in abundance,i.e..flooring. other visits it might be swamp coolers.”

“I visit this place at least once a month, one of my all time favorite spots to thrift. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I also only donate my stuff here, a much better alternative to Goodwill whose greed prices things so high that they are no longer an affordable place to shop. Salvation Army is far superior.”

“I’ve been shopping at Sun City Thrift Shop for the past couple of years and always find the best hidden gems for myself, my husband, and family & friends. The shop is spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming, and has such fun decor. Every visit is such a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
I stopped in on my way home Friday, and while checking out, the owner noticed my teacher shirt. As an elementary educator for the past 8 years, the thoughtful act of kindness they showed me truly made my whole day.
I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful place and can’t wait to stop back in soon!”
“I love this place. I call it the Man's Goodwill. You can pop in here every few days and there's no telling what they'll have accumulated. I was able to remodel almost my entire home because of this place. And it is so cheap it well worth the gander before you head to a home depot or Lowes. If it's out front its free! I mean, you cant go wrong with this place. Don't have what you're looking for? Try back in a few days. Your hands will get a bit dirty digging through stuff but they hand sanitizer at the front where you pay! Love this place. And they guys that work here are so nice and laid back, I actually enjoy seeing them. Typically I am a keep to myself shopper (and they don't bother you or try to chat you up) but I really like the simple and short updates I get going here. I either learn something new or I am getting tips on how and where to find really cool drawer pulls or something. Lol Give it a go, and if you live or are planning to go to the Mesa area I hear they have a megasized store over there thats way better (if that's possible.) I have yet to go so I'm thankful and content with this one for now.”

“Very clean and well organized store. Prices are really good and they offer discounts and sale days on top of these already low prices making some items as low as $0.99. Clothes are good quality nothing stained or torn. I could see why some might say the customer service isn't all that great because the staff isn't overly friendly. The clerk was professional when she assisted me with entry into a fitting room but she didn't smile nor did she seem pleased to help me however it was my check out experience with this same clerk that earned them the 5 stars. When I went to the counter to get the items I wanted I realized my paycheck hadn't been direct deposited yet so I was really low on money. I apologized and excused myself from the line to go put back almost everything I had intended to buy. I kept 2 bras because I only had the one bra I was currently wearing which was too small for me but it was all I had ever since someone stole all of my things (and yes they took it all even my underwear) while I was experiencing homelessness. I thought I had enough money for them both but when she told me the total I realized I was a little more then $1 short. I apologized to her again and explained I didn't quite have enough money and asked if she could remove the higher priced bra. She asked me how much I had and after I told her what I was able to pay she then put in a discount bringing my total down to about $0.03 cents less then what I had told her I had available. I thanked her quietly while trying to hold back my tears of gratitude because she had no idea just how desolate I'd become over the last several months. I was literally ready to give up because of all the horrible things I had suffered through in such a short amount of time. I literally felt like I had nothing left to offer or give anyone and there wasn't any reason for me to be here anymore but her one simple act of sympathy and unspoken kindness provided me with more then something as basic and simple as clean bras it gave me hope and the strength to just hold on a little longer. I'm still suffering with homelessness and I'm still having a hard time finding a good/steady job but I'm fighting everyday to change my situation and get my family back into a home where we are all safe and warm and it's partly in thanks to someone who just gave me the chance to buy a clean bra. I didn't get her name but the good Lord above knows who she is and I silently thank her each time I wash one bra while wearing the other clean one. You have no idea just how much clean clothes that fit you will help to lift your spirits until you don't have these things. We take so much for granted but after experiencing this hardship my family and I don't take the simple things for granted anymore. Thank God for places like this. I pray the donations continue to come in so this place can continue to help those in need like myself. God bless everyone. Stay safe”

“I had a great experience at Goodwill! I needed something last minute and was honestly surprised that I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. They have a huge variety of clothing, and everything was well stocked and organized, which made it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed.
The store itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. It’s always nice when thrifting feels enjoyable instead of chaotic.
