I was greeted by your customer service representative Gabriel who was highly professional and pleasant and helpful.
I needed a new brake light and reverse light in my truck. He promptly located what I needed and volunteered to install them in my truck. “Shout out to Henry at my local Tucson location, on West Grant Rd. Today was my first visit. Heck I didn't even know there were Interstate stores! Well, technically, it's not a store. It's a distribution warehouse. But let me tell you, it's been a really long time since I've had customer service like I got today. Henry did a free test on my suspect car battery, even taking time to show and explain to me the live readings on his tester! Then, because he couldn't do the actual swap for me (again, warehouse, not retail store), he offered to call a local Big O Tires store (Interstate Battery Reseller) to verify they had what I needed, which I accepted. They had an open bay available so, again, with my permission, reserved it for me. (I will be posting another 5 Star review on that Big O Tire store, also. But not here. That would be silly.)
Henry also confirmed my feeble memory, in that my battery was five years old! And it wasn't technically a dead battery, which is why it always took a jump easily. It was still showing 12.75 vdc on his tester. Alas, as we all must do, it had aged into its retirement years, and though rated for 700 cca, it was currently only able to produce 204 cca.
I know that won't mean much to most people. But maybe this will. I'm 67, and I've not heard of another maker of car batteries that offers one with a 6-year warranty. Also, my old-but-still-trying battery lived in Phoenix , Arizona for three consecutive summers before moving to Tucson, AZ in winter of 2022. Ask anyone you like, having a car battery live through 3 AZ summers is on the luckier side of average. I've maybe heard of 2 that made it into their 4th summers. And a battery that lived to see its 5th is practically an urban myth! But my Interstae battery came to work for me pre-pandemic, and 2025 was its 5th summer. ( I feel like a proud parent, lol )
Then new battery that went into my 2009 kia (170 k miles) today will probably outlive it. Interstate batteries, for the win!”
