They also have crickets for my salamander.
A great place to get heavy duty buckets in various colors and other misc supplies.
The propane prices are good too.

I really appreciate how well Irma handles cats and how comfortable I feel leaving Nimbus with her. He wasn’t overly stressed afterward, which I always pay attention to with grooming. You can tell she really knows cats and takes her time with them.

I saw Dr Benitez and Emilio and they were both awesome. They were so comforting, and they explained everything in great detail which helped me understand. There were bird feeders for him to watch, cat scratchers and feliway, the room definitely helped him feel at home. So so happy I found this place.

3544 N Romero Rd Suite 148, TucsonKindred Spirits offers a wonderful service. My malamute, Olly was diagnosed with bone cancer and declined fast. I made an appointment with Dr. Barrett to come to the office. On the day of the appointment, I decided it was too traumatic to transport Olly. Dr. Barrett and her assistant compassionately accommodated me and rescheduled to come to my location.
I was nervous about the procedure, but it was a very peaceful experience from the moment they arrived. Dr. Barrett was very patient and made sure we were ready to proceed with each step. She was very gentle performing the steps, and I had complete confidence in her. Olly passed without any stress, and they took his body away and I knew he was in the care of loving hands. I chose not to receive any remains, and she let me know that her and her family spread the ashes of all the pets that they help if not returned to the owner.
They also gave me a booklet to read on how to cope with the grief of losing a pet which was very helpful. I highly recommend Kindred Spirits.

We could not have asked for a better experience, especially sending 15 week Pups off to someone else. The communication was excellent, she sent updates pictures and videos. She got to know us and what our priorities were and then she spent time getting to know the pups and specializing the training. They both got all the concepts. You could tell they felt secure and safe. I felt comfortable knowing they were being trained in a home and not a kennel.
We wrapped the 3 weeks up with a people training to continue the work. It was helpful and informative.
We plan to continue training with her in classes.
I am so glad we found Rebecca and wholeheartedly recommend her to help jump start your fur babies educational foundation.

7151 E Tamara Dr, TucsonAnthony was a game changer for us. Our rescue pup Miles (part Saint Bernard/part Belgian Malinois) is 75 lbs, extremely strong, and ultra social! He's not the least bit aggressive but would drag my husband and me (two seniors) around and react very exuberantly on the leash to other dogs, little kids, and people he knows. This happened even with a nose leader. With Anthony's help we now have a much more manageable dog and a much safer walking experience. Anthony introduced Miles to the training collar he uses and I have to say I think Miles responded to it very well. It clearly does not hurt him but does help him understand much better what's expected of him on the leash, and so has enhanced his comfort level as much as ours. Walks are more fun and less stressful for us all. Hiring Anthony--who's also a very nice guy--was well worth it and I'd recommend him highly.

I love that she cares for the dogs right in her home—it feels so much more personal and comfortable than a traditional facility. She even has a pool, which was such a fun bonus and perfect for keeping the dogs active and happy.
What really stood out to me is how knowledgeable she is about dogs. She truly takes the time to understand each dog’s individual needs and personality, and you can tell she adjusts her care based on that. She also offered really helpful suggestions that showed how much she genuinely cares about the dogs’ well-being.
I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such attentive and capable hands. Highly recommend!

3219 E Blacklidge Dr, TucsonWhere to start… I started working with Gene about a year ago and then actually listening to him and implementing his methods maybe six months ago. ? Gene’s approach to dog training blows my mind. I couldn’t fathom training a dog without using treats. I’ve taken my dogs to numerous classes and private lessons and always start with a huge pouch of treats and they fall all over themselves to do what I want… when I have treats. Then I have a food obsessed, overweight pooch who has bonded with the food. Gene didn’t train my dog as much as he taught me how to interact with him from canine, not human, behavioral perspective.I didn't know any of that before Gene, of course, but now it's easy to see. Basically what he did is teach me how to build a trusting relationship with my dog: just me and him. We have developed an amazing connection that I don't think I've had with any dog prior. Using nothing but affection for a reward! I learned I don't have to bribe him; he does whatever I ask (sometimes begrudgingly) and I can reward him with praise. He still gets treat time and his bully sticks and all that, but he looks me in the eye now waiting for direction. He's calm and secure because he knows what he's supposed to be doing and when. He constantly looks to me for direction and is responsive to even hand cues now.Gene will teach you to build the foundation of your relationship with your dog and methods to control negative behaviors WITHOUT the use of food or force. I know, sounds crazy, doesn't it? It's a game changer I wish I'd learned years ago.

Our originally planned boarding situation for our girl Annabelle had fallen thru a day before we were leaving AZ for several days for my son’s wedding in Utah and we had no other options. Annabelle is an older girl who has some extra needs and doesn’t get along with other dogs either so I was very nervous bringing her to a new place. But Michelle was truly amazing! She comforted me and simplified things for us and took her time with Annabelle and her needs, even when she wasn’t eating so well. She even sent us a couple of pics and texts while we were gone!If I needed to board her again I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to call Michelle. She was a true blessing!

Sure they do all the other stuff (breeding, training) as good as anybody but at the end of the day you want to deal with someone you can trust to be honest with you. Buying one of these dogs, or hiring someone to train one, can be an intimidating process. Fear not with Zauberberg. They will walk you through the process even if you've never held a leash before.They will also stay in touch if you need them after you get back home. 5 star all the way

They will text me with updates/send pictures of my dog. I had a delay in my travels coming home and they were very accommodating. Friendly staff and you can tell they care about animals. My dog knows where he is at as he always runs to the front of their office door. Thank you to everyone at Camino for taking good care of my boy!

The Pet Cemetery of Tucson
5720 E Glenn St, TucsonI have been to Darla and the staff for 8 of 9 pets. Always felt welcome and loved. The one pet I had to take elsewhere I feel cheated on my feelings and my pet's final hours.
Darla has always been there and recognized our feelings. I do not look forward to any time I have to visit her and would love to be her apprentice and take over for her and show the same compassion as she expresses.

I came to write a good review and then saw the last unhinged review so this will be longer than originally expected lolz. I was so happy visiting and was able to find my new best friend.
They have a team of volunteers that helps take care of the cats every day. There's a main area where the adoptable cats, which are most of them, can roam free if they want or hang out in their cage or on some of the different cat trees or play with some of the toys around. There are two patios they can go out that goes into an enclosed outdoor area if they want to go outside. The main area has both overhead lighting and windows that let natural light in, as you can probably see from the pictures. Unless you're wearing sunglasses inside, you should be able to see completely clearly. It's not dim at all. The cats in the main area aren't constantly locked in cages, so there are usually a few cats roaming around. Obviously you wouldn't want to let a toddler run around or run blindfolded through the area. If you have peripheral vision, you're vertigo-free, and you have more than a few months of walking experience, though, you would have no reason to worry about tripping or stepping on cats.
There's a separate area for the cats with leukemia, and they also have an enclosed patio they can go out on. Then there's another area for feral cats that get brought in, and they also have their own patio. Sometimes small kittens will be brought in and be in a separate room, or sometimes if a cat really doesn't like being around other cats and tends to start fights, they might get to stay in their own little room there. They take great care of such a wide variety of cats.
Ya there are a lot of cats. That's kinda the point of a cat shelter. It's a volunteer-run non-profit in a residential area, so I doubt that they have a few extra million sitting around to quadruple the space, and I don't know how they could possibly use the space any better than they do. It's not cramped. There's space inside and out that's all being utilized. There also aren't exactly an abundance of openings in bigger shelters, which is why so many of the cats in big shelters end up getting put to sleep. That's why a small local no-kill shelter like this is such a God send.
If you're looking to adopt or even just love cats and are looking for somewhere to volunteer or donate to, this is a GREAT option!!
