    “I am a local, and we really rely on our one store to provide the things we need. I do like their selection most of the time. However, they are out of at least one item I need every time I go to the store. Sometimes, they do not have several things I need. It is very annoying not to be able to get the things you want or need to have. Flagstaff is about 30-40 minutes away, and sometimes, you need it right away. I do love the employees. Many friendly faces and the store is always clean.”

    “I am glad we have you in town. We shop there at least twice a week. I wanted to thank you for FINALLY having your parking lots and landscaping tended to! It has been looking shaggy and dirty for MONTHS now. My husband and I pick up trash on our way in, but cannot pull weeds or trim trees etc. Safeway is visited by MOST guests the town has. It is important that the facility look tidy INSIDE and OUT. I hate to see it looking like a unkempt, uncared for property. Thank you for paying attention to the parking lot and grounds as well as the interior of the store.”

Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
