“​I really like the automation and overall ease of renting a unit here. Just make sure you’re physically at the location within 15 minutes of renting it online—otherwise, your gate code won't work, and if it’s after hours or on a weekend, you’ll be stuck waiting until the next business day.
​My experience with the staff has been mostly pleasant and helpful. I’m only docking a star—giving them 4 out of 5—because my unit was actually broken into. However, that was mostly out of their hands. Central Arkansas simply has an unusually high number of storage unit thefts, and when you combine that with a general lack of interest from local law enforcement, it’s easy to see why keeping your stuff secure is such a headache around here. Virtually every facility in the area has been hit at some point, so keep that in mind no matter where you go.
​That said, I’ve rented units at almost every facility in the area, and this is the one I still use to this day. Take that for what it’s worth. (There’s only one other facility in Jacksonville I’d even consider, and that’s the one right by the grocery store.)
​Which brings me to a question: why are you renting a storage unit in the first place?
​If you’re in the military or in the middle of a move and can't take your belongings right away, that makes complete sense. But most people rent these units just to hoard junk they don't want in their house, yet aren't ready to throw away (myself included). Save yourself some money and feel good about it: donate it to Goodwill, a local church, a domestic violence shelter, a homeless shelter, or the local fire department to burn for practice (mostly joking).
​Good luck with one of the least important decisions you’ll ever make—though, strangely enough, it can suck up an unnecessarily large amount of your time if you let it. Just like writing Google reviews 😉.

“I had Terry and his crew out delivering my household goods. If you want a group of genuine guys who are professional, get the job done quickly, and leave you with a smile, these are your ideal movers. I've worked in customer service for many years myself and it seems that most companies never meet my expectations. Marelyn was an exception. I had shipping delays which were no fault of A-1 Freeman. I recently left the military and the original shipping company at pickup held onto my household goods for weeks before driving them to A-1. I called in and Marelyn was very empathetic and ensured that I received my household goods on the scheduled day. It's rare to meet someone who obviously takes pride in their career. I went from being stressed out about the move to feeling relief because I had people from A-1 who treated my move as if it was their own. Thank you Marelyn for being the intial great impression of the company. Thank you to Terry and his crew for the great experience upon delivery. I rarely have good experiences with companies but this was one of the few exceptions. I truly appreciate you all and can't thank you enough.”
