Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic

During the recent winter storm, one of my dogs had a medical emergency and Pleasant Valley was the only open clinic I could find in town. They were able to fit us in for a same-day appointment. Unfortunately, we had to put my sweet girl down. Everyone at this clinic was incredibly kind, compassionate and respectful throughout the whole process. Everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and empathy. The few phones calls and interactions since my girl has passed have also been very thoughtful and kind. I just can't say enough good things about this clinic and the way they treated both me and, more importantly, my sweet Reese. Thank you to everyone who works here for the compassion you show animals and their humans

We were impressed with the doctor's (Barret?) knowledge and compassion and even humor when we discussed Sprite's potentially serious condition. It was the first time a vet sat down to take our questions, instead of half heading out the door or passing on to an aide. I know they see a lot of animals but I got the impression they liked Sprite immediately just as he's part of our family.

When she was out sick, they called to check up on her. When I needed last minute boarding because my apartment flooded- they stepped up and made it work. One of the saddest parts of moving away from Arkansas was leaving Hounds Lounge, I will always always recommend them.

One of the best parts of the experience is the huge selection of flavors and the seemingly endless samples they offer. It's nearly impossible to leave without finding something you'll enjoy.
A small size (two scoops) will set you back about $6 before tax and tip. It's roughly half the size of a Dairy Queen Blizzard for about the same price, but that's part of the SOMA experience these days. Thankfully, Loblolly has something going for it that most chain restaurants don't. It's a local Arkansas creamery that emphasizes fresh ingredients and partners with local food producers, which is always nice to support.
I ordered the Dark Side of the Moon, and it was fantastic. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth trying.
Yes, it's a little pricey, but between the quality, local focus, and unique flavors, I can understand why people keep coming back. Just be prepared for a crowd.

408 E 21st St, Little RockMy wife and I are new to the area and visited Smashed N' Stacked food truck at the Filling Station in North Little Rock last night. Buckle up y'all. This was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Probably the best one I've ever eaten. Not to mention, the fries. Omg, I'm never one to dive heavily into the fries but I could not resist shoveling the entire plate down my gullet. They were thin, crispy and seasoned perfectly. Also, the server who took our order at the window was super friendly and genuinely a pleasure to speak with. Side note, we took it to go because we were bringing dinner home to my brother in law and everything was still amazing after 30 minutes of travel time. Well done Smashed N' Stacked. I already can't wait to return. And I would not hesitate to recommend this one to anyone and everyone. 10 Stars if I could.
