“I went to Walmart.
It was busy.
It was clean.
The parking lot did not require a threat assessment before exiting my vehicle.
Nobody was wearing their pants around their knees like a man who lost a structural argument with gravity.
No blue hair. No pink hair. No hair that communicates a personality disorder as a fashion choice.
The guns and ammo aisle was fully stocked and clearly moving product.
This is not a coincidence.
A retail establishment where the firearms section does brisk business is an establishment operating in a zip code where the population has not confused helplessness with identity.
I approved.
The staff executed their responsibilities with the quiet competence of people who have never once considered writing a manifesto.
The floors were clean.
The clientele appeared to own property, maintain it, and have strong opinions about the correct torque settings for a trailer hitch.
Just people acquiring goods and exiting without incident.
Five stars.

“Very polite staff very accommodating. My 65 year old mother came by to grab discarded cardboard boxes after she was rudely told by an employee at Family Dollar (across the street) she could go get them out of the dumpster, , as the employee was pushing a cart of broken down cardboard boxes. Needless to say we will be taking our business here now where people treat others with kindness and respect.”
