“Yes it isn’t Lowes… saying that I will point out that in the four years of living in the area I have never been treated rudely here. They try to stock what most folks need here and by need I also mean what the majority of locals are willing or able to afford.
I have seen how some men harass the women at the register with very inappropriate innuendo. So if anyone feels the ladies are being rude I would offer they are trying to be professional and safe from unwanted attention.
As a man I have been embarrassed by the kinds of things that I have heard some of these people say.
But back to the prices and availability of items. Considering this is an independent distributor of lumber and hardware with a fairly small population of 6,000 in Mena plus another 6,000 or so in the neighboring rural areas I would give them credit for having most of what is needed at reasonable prices.
Expecting more? Then perhaps Mena is not the right place for you.”
