“Great little place. Clean, the merchandise prices are high as well as the gas and Diesel prices. There is quite a bit of merchandise in the store. There is a lot more than you would think for a quick stop. It is more like a small truck stop with no truck parking. It is good that they have a lot of merchandise because it is the ONLY place to shop around. MOST of the people who work there are kind and friendly. A couple of them have a little personality problem. Sometimes they all rather stand around and talk instead of take care of business.
The laundry, while clean, is TERRIBLE half of the washers and dryers don't work and this is all the time not just part of the time. It is in the middle of nowhere, so you gotta take what you got. I moved here last year. Not one of my better ideas. However most of the people are great. Most of the people in this small town are friendly.
If you stop by, take a trip down main street and check out the fake old- times town they have here in Plainview. It is just a couple blocks down from the Superette. I think it is kinda cool.”

“This store has everything, except for a kitchen sink and chances are if you need a sink, they've either got one in the back or will order one. They have also got the best onion rings on the planet! Did I mention that they have a grill and 3 page menu of food they will cook for you?”
“Purchased bow last week, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Took time to make sure we understood everything before we left. Would definitely recommend going here!”
“This was our first time there and the staff and people were great! The food was awesome and you get big portions for the money and the food is not very expensive. Lots of parking in the back not so much up front. Big lunch there but will be back for breakfast!”

“Helpful Staff, Very Clean and Organized Facility. This Dollar General was recently remodeled. The new construction seems to have at least doubled the business's previous size. This has allowed for a larger amount of available products.The only issue I have with the new arrangement of the store would have to be the self check out kiosks. Eventhough they are only a few weeks old, there ALWAYS seems to be 1 that is out of order, and the the other will not allow you to pay with cash, nor allow you to get cash back when using your card. Because the store is now twice as big, and the number of employees working at any given time has not increased, you have to wait until an employee returns to the register or go find one.Overall, it is a nice place to shop locally, just leave a couple minutes in your plans for that inevitable wait time, Especially if you're in a hurry.”

“Easily the best grocery store ive gone into in a very long time. Was not expecting it either. Huge selection of products. Unique and otherwise. They even had sourkraut. I havent found sourkraut since ive been on this road for 4mon. But what got me to write a review on it was the service. Everyone was super friendly. I even came in at the time theyre winding everything down and were stalking shelves. I grabbed some sliced meat ofcourse when everything was shutdown and the employee still cut it. Then i asked a passing question. If they had any Protein powders. One of the ladies working the cash register took me through 2 isles then asked another employee who recommended another isle. No luck but after getting my stuff scanned she had another idea and checked on it. No luck. The effort alone was enough to make my day. Even the customers were friendly. Hell, i probably need to move here. Was not expecting the effort.”

“Recently on a couples trip to see the eclipse in Hot Springs. Five of us decided to take a ride through the countryside. After about a 40 minute ride through some of the most beautiful part of Arkansas, we stumbled upon the Holis country store. We were welcomed with open arms by the owners and the five of us spent the next hour, enjoying fried bologna sandwiches and hearing about the history of such a wonderful place. If you are ever in the Hollis area north of Hot Springs, you have to stop here. It is a soul restoring touch of America that is hard to find sometimes. And yes, the bologna sandwiches were out of this world. We spent five days in the area and enjoyed a spectacular total eclipse on Monday, April 8. As we were all headed home on Tuesday the ninth the debate raged on what was the High Point of our journey. There were only two choices. One was an awesome celestial event, and the other was the Hollis country store.”
