“I had to get a rapid strep test, and this pharmacy was listed as a place to go. I don't live in the community and normally use a different pharmacy closer to home. The half hour or so I spent in here, I saw regular customers coming in and out, and the staff seemed to know them by name, knew the goings on in their life, and I haven't seen customer service like this in ages. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable and caring. We as a family have switched over to them and will continue to use them as needed. 10/10 recommended. Felt like an old school Mom and Pop shop, I miss that feeling!”

James, the pharmacist, was incredibly helpful in guiding me through conversations about menopause and the many options available—it can feel overwhelming with so much information out there, but he made everything clear and manageable. He took the time to explain what I needed to do and communicated every step of the way.
My prescriptions were always filled on time, and any adjustments we needed to make—especially while we were in the process of figuring out what worked best—were handled quickly and seamlessly. “Thrift’s gift baskets: Overall ober the years Thrifty’s has provided great service for creation of their gift baskets. From time to time certain substitutions were allowed related to dietary needs and requirements. These days you need to give 48 hours notice and they do not do substitutions at all. Great service however the aspect of flexibility around substitutions has changed. Employees are mostly friendly. They may be the most consistent basket creator in the area but if you need something specific, you need to go with a specialty store who delivers to the area.”

“I accidentally found what I can confirm is the best pharmacy and I’m so grateful. I moved to the island in July and initially went to shoppers and it was one disaster after another. Yesterday however, when I needed an xray and had prescriptions to fill, I found St. Anthony’s. They were fast and did a full demo with my inhaler for whatever RSV or bronchitis thing I have. I also didn’t realize the $1.50 I paid for every prescription previously filled at shoppers was because shoppers has higher fees (they should be lower if it’s indicative of their awful service but alas). So my benefits covered it all at St. Anthony’s, it took maybe 20 minutes, everyone was friendly and thorough and it’s even closer to me than shoppers although I would certainly go the distance for this place. I only wish they showed up on google so more people knew about them although selfishly I’m happy they had the right amount of scripts to get mine done so quickly.”

I was a bit nervous about using an on-line pharmacy, but when the neighborhood drugstore started only refilling 30 days at a time it was an easy decision. Prescriptions arrive quickly right to the mailbox, or if you're in a rush you can pick up in Sidney the next day. A great service!”

“I switched from Shoppers and is the grass ever greener with Thrifties! They are knowledgeable, accommodating, kind, efficient, quick and caring; everything Shoppers greatly lacked. The hours may be more constrained however as much as I don’t want them to get more popular, this small pharmacy is more productive than one ten times it's size. People make a business and Grace and everyone else there are truly good human beings. It's something rare in this overtaxed and stressed Healthcare system to turn out gems such as these.”

Thrifty Foods Broadmead is my first choice to visit out of all the other Thrifty Foods in the Greater Victoria area. I'm not too sure if the staff are friendly or not, but friendliness isn't required for the items that I purchase at Thrifty Broadmead.”
