“On Saturday, September 7th, I visited the store to pick up a few things for supper. I found everything I wanted plus a few delicious extra items. I had several lovely interactions with staff, but the best experience was with the fish market. Two very nice and friendly people assisted me. They helped me pick out some lovely fish and then bagged in a bag of ice to keep it fresh!! Brilliant idea!! I wish more stores that sold fish would do this. The fish was perfect and my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner from all the things I had purchased. Excellent store, amazing staff and an awesome variety of products!!”
“This Thrifty Grocery store was a wonderful experience for me. The aisles were clean, clutter-free, easy to find what I was looking for, and the gluten-free items I needed were here! Plus, the cashier was a delightful lady. I had never been to a Thrifty, but I found it similar to a small sized Wegman's (Maryland).”

The Staff is super friendly - always worth a bonus! ?
This Store is somewhat new to our Valley, and we've only recently started to incorporate it in our Sat morning rounds of visiting the CV Farmers Market (on the Exhibition Grounds) and the Butchers Block before stopping off at The Old Farm Market (this Store - where Thrifty Foods used to be). It is surprisingly well stocked with a variety of goods that would be hard to beat, including some exotics, like products from India, China, Japan, Germany etc. which has its own little section in case you hail from there and feel a bit nostalgic. They carry local produce from all over Vancouver Island as well as processed foods, but one of the biggest draw cards for our Family, is certainly the Fanny Bay Oysters outlet in the Store ?”
