“I love this cosy little branch. It has a great collection of inviting books, CDs, DVDs magazines, and so on. It is one of the best "third spaces" in Ladner, for sure, the perfect place to hang out and read curled up on the couch or in a chair on a rainy afternoon, or to bring your little kids for activities and child-friendly classes. They have bird-watching kits and bat-tracking kits and all kinds of cool stuff like that, including Science World on the Road sessions. My only knocks on this place are a) the invariably unfriendly staff who often are standing with their backs turned to the public chatting amongst themselves and look annoyed if you have a question like how to log on to the wi-fi, and who have no interest at all in interacting in a friendly way. And b) the loud levels of noise that patrons are allowed to make, like going at full volume on their laptops or their phones for long stretches, which can be heard across the entire library and are very disruptive but none of the staff ever seems to do anything about.”

“A bit wild with a huge number of plants. Some mature trees.Lovely spot for a picnic in amongst the gardens. Truly a haven in the rapidly expanding Southlands development. Which is IMO being done with great respect for the land and surrounding community. I grew up in the " Bay " and have been a visitor for the last 40 years.”
