“RON IS THE BEST HANDS DOWN ! I am constantly overcharged from other places , recommended services i don't need , am told to do maintenance wayyy before maintenance is due , waiting forever , sometimes days to get my vehicle back, etc etc etc . Ron got me in for my brakes that needed hours within me calling about it , I normally would have to arrange a ride home and wait a full day if not multiple days for basic things like coolant flush and oil changes at laird Wheaton , at Mid island automotive I was in and out so quickly I just sat in the lobby and chatted with Cammy the lovely woman that works at the front desk and was treated to coffee and a Christmas chocolate while the men worked their magic , I was shocked at how quickly the service was . The price was very reasonable and I left there happy and not feeling ripped off like every other place I've been in Nanaimo , they topped off my fluids as well . Ron and his team were extremely accommodating, kind , informative and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Mid island automotive to friends , family or anyone needing some work done on their vehicle , I'm sure you will be as satisfied with their work as I was . “I got my transfer case replaced here recently. Steve took my vehicle out for a spin, he was able to determine by sound and how the vehicle ran that it was the transfer case seriously needed to be replace. “I live 1.5 hour north of these guys. I needed a starter on my 1925 44 foot boat rebuilt. I took it to a local shop that gave me a crazy price and explained how rare it was and information was hard to get on it. (Of course I've got the extra rare one). I couldn't grasp the outrageous price and was reffed here to flesh auto. Right away I knew I had called the right place. These guys care about their job which is more than just quality workmanship but customer service and transparency. They don't mind a challenge and I must say the price was fantastic! They've made a repeat customer outta me. It's far from home but worth the drive. 110% highly recommend these guys. It's hard to find good service these days. Look no further!”

“I have had three vehicles serviced at Ernie's Blackpoint over the last three years (GMC Sierra, Ford E-150 van and a Toyota Yaris) The first time oil change/inspection is a great value and a wonderful way to get to know your vehicle if you buy used like me. All the major work I have had done has come back either under quote/at quote. I have been given great advice on what I should replace and when that I trust because he takes the time to explain everything (down to the last bearing ?). I always recommend this shop and a few of my friends and coworkers have now switched to him as well!”

“These guys are amazing!! I brought my Grand Cherokee in with a broken valve spring. This was on a Tuesday before the upcoming long weekend. Our family had a vacation pre booked for that weekend for months. I called 10 other shops and noone would take it before weekend. I called Hit Fair and once I told Keith my story he agreed to squeeze us in (even though he didn't really have time). Dropped it off at 2pm on Tuesday thinking I'd be happy if I could get it back on Wednesday. To my surprise they had it done by the end of the day!!. Keith only charged me 2 hours on an emergency job with zero notice. Top notch shop in my books!”
“Recommended to me by a couple of my coworkers, I took my van here to take care of an oil leak.
Alan and the rest were excellent and the total cost of work was reasonable and less than I was prepared for.
We also took another vehicle there about a month ago. Alan helped to get it back up and running as well as gave us great advice and options how we could proceed. Everything coincided with what we knew and expected.
Will I use them again… absolutely.

“Went for oil change .Fast efficient.WAS THERE FOR 8 pm Sat morning.Will serviced my car with some help from Benji .They were great.Looked at Air filter and suggested change which it needed as it was dirtier than my vacuum filter.As was at 96 klm got transmission flushed too.Then mention Wipers which been making smears so got them to change those too.Left feeling extremely satisfied and safe as they had done some other checks too which come with service.Kudos to Will and Bengi!!This is best place for oil change.Always bring my vehicles here”
“The engine light came on in my 2006 BMW X3 on the Saturday morning, when I was heading off on my road trip. I took the car to Bavarian Imports based on location and other comments. The head mechanic/owner was there and I was able to leave my car in their secure yard over the weekend. They worked on my car first thing Monday. I was back on the road early arvo. Great service, honest, not as expensive as I was expecting. Highly recommend.”
